I don't know how the app got into this thread, but apparently, and despite what Scot the Big Spender says, the app can:

put people in jail,

data match with the tax office data,

data match with centrelink data,

data match with state/territory licence (and face image) data,

data match the meta-data they have forced telephone companies to collect, and

share with other governments.

And a couple of million gullible sorts have downloaded it already, with several million more expected to follow. How's that for suckers, Paul?

I didn't download the app, with the information being stored by a foreign company, with dubious history. That foreign company is subject to the subpoena laws of the worlds most aggressive nation. If the CIA wanted your information from Amazon, Amazon would be subjected to American law, and there would be sweet fa ScumO' from Australia could do about it, not that he would want to.
