Part pension, and I'm a genius when it comes to money. I'm a capitalist, remember.

America the most aggressive country. Of course! China is a pussy cat, according to you Green Reds, with an economy the size of Tasmania's.

As for mobile phones, I don't want even the basic one I've got for security reasons. I saw Pauline last night advising Chris Kenny that we can't trust the government with apps or anything else. There's a surprise! I think I'll sign my pension over to her, and live on the trusts - that bottom of the harbour stuff that John Howard used to talk about.

I don’t understand why teachers should be exempt from working at this time. All the checkout ladies around the country face far greater risk of infection in their job than teachers do. Studies have shown that children not only get a milder form of the illness but also that they don’t transmit the disease much either.
I have a granddaughter who is receptionist in a hotel that caters for medical cases from remote areas who have very poor immune systems yet she has to go to work every day and interact with these clients, as well as cleaning their rooms on occasion.
Another granddaughter is working in the prison system, again with many clientele with compromised health.
What makes teachers so special that they can refuse to go to work when so many others are doing their best to keep the country running?

Why are we casting blame on teachers when the
decisions of school closures involve federal,
and state governments, education departments
and teacher unions. We have teachers in public,
Catholic and independent schools involved.
All having to comply with the directions they are
being given.

if any Government had any courage they would put absent teachers on the job keeper scheme. This same bunch also had kids missing school while having tantrums on the street in the bushfire season. NO wonder our standards are at the bottom of the pile despite record amounts of money being spent on education over the last 30 years. At least the kids are missing out on being brainwashed with the latest woke perversion.

Teachers do have to comply with instructions, but it's not teachers who are the problem: it's the vile Red unions who are making all the fuss. The sorts of morons who, many years ago, complained to the principal that my wife, in teaching about Captain Cook, had made no mention of Mrs. Cook!

The teachers unions would get along very well with their comrades in the Chinese Communist Party.

According to government figures union membership in
Australia has been falling steadily over the past
4 decades. There were just over 1.5 million union members
in 2016 compared with just over 2.5 million in 1976. This
represents a decline of around 1 million union members or 38%.

The figures are probably even lower today.

Mos young people are not interested in union membership
and prefer to negotiate their own work agreements.
