"As are the many women who have accused Trump of sexual
misconduct. "

Yeah I remember how Tara Reade credibly accused him of rape. How can such a man be president?

......oh wait. http://www.npr.org/2020/04/19/837966525/on-the-record-a-former-biden-staffers-sexual-assault-allegation

No evidence was found for the Tara Reade allegations
against Mr Biden. Unlike those against President
Trump - and the pay-offs made.

Trump has a troubled relationship with the truth and
the facts. He has made at least 15,413 false or
misleading claims according to an analysis from The
Washington Post.

All politicians bend the truth but Trump has excelled in
this regard.

History will judge this man. Not us. And the most lasting
impact will probably be his re-shaping of the federal
judiciary. The life-time appointments he's made with his
conservatives. It will take America a long time to recover
from this presidency. The sooner it starts the better for
everyone!

Here are the main criticisms of Donald Trump:

1) He's not ignorant enough.

2) He's too pro gun-control.

3) He has too much respect for women, minorities,
and the law.

4) He knows too much about the issues.

5) He spends too much time at work when he should
be out golfing.

6) His deliberate efforts to unite the country.

7) He only has good things to say about his opponents.

8) He believes in honesty and fairness.

9) He doesn't know enough porn stars.

10) He should be more supportive of white supremacist
organizations.

11) He's too humble. Doesn't talk enough about what a
genius he is.

12) He's too critical of Putin.

13) He's too quick to pay his creditors.

14) He should not release his tax returns.

15) He does not tweet enough.

16) He needs to ask the Russians for help in winning
the election.

17) He does not play to evangelicals enough.

18) He doesn't ramble on enough.

19) Not enough hookers or pee tapes.

20) Is too classy, virtuous, and faithful.
Always putting others ahead of himself.

21) The colour of his skin is too natural.

One thing is obvious from this list - defending the
indefensible and denying the obvious is untenable in the
long term in the political realm.

Surely one thing we've learnt about accusations of sexual assault etc. is that they have to be backed up by some evidence ? Otherwise, it's just he said/she said ? Of course, almost by definition, it's very difficult to get that sort of evidence, whether it's Stormy Daniels, George Pell or Tara Reade.

Perhaps a lesson is that people, maybe all of us, have to be aware that many things are possible, that we should be careful when we are alone with someone in a potentially compromising situation. Perhaps, in a room, don't let anyone come between you and the door; keep the door open of course. Or make sure that others know where you are and hopefully can see you. Stay business-like; avoid unnecessary eye contact; try to involve third parties where possible.

I'm sure that most women are fully aware of all of this, and that their experiences of someone trying it on are almost universal. Still, teach your children well.
