Hi Foxy,

I have always viewed American "democracy" with a high degree of scepticism. Is America as democratic as they portray themselves, or would have the rest of the world believe it to be. It appears to be a society built on an illusion of what is a democracy. The pretence created by the fanfare and hoopla about choosing who should be the Commander-in-Chief, or who should be the Supreme-Dog-Catcher, masks systemic problems of injustice and division within the society. No one can deny America is a country of fabulous wealth, and one that has made a huge contribution towards the betterment of mankind in so many fields. At the same times as these great achievements have been taking place the society has been deeply divided between the 'haves' and the 'have-nots'. So many Americans have received little more than the crumbs from achievement and wealth creation because of inequalities created by the lack of opportunity, opportunities only reserved for the privileged class in that society.

Trump, because of his stupidly highlights the systemic divisions in American society, he plays to those divisions for his own political purposes. Trump is a nasty, Biden is a nice version of Trump, but he still basically stands for what Trump stands for. Sure, if elected Biden will probely tinker around the edges at some of Americas deep seated social problems, but realistically he offers no chance of any systemic shift to a truly equal society, even if he gets elected to both jobs, Commander-In-Chief and Supreme-Dog-Catcher.

Dear Paul,

Anyone but Trump.

That shister has simply got to go.

And fingers-crossed that he will.

Runner,

ALL swamps. Your swamp of choice, as well as everybody else's.

Right and Left swamps.

All systems of cronies. All patron-client systems. All Mafias, by whatever name.

ALL swamps.

Is that too naive ? No, I don't think so.

Is it impossible to get rid of them ? Probably.

Joe

runner,

I think you missed a few:

McCabe
Yates
Brennan
Strzok
Page

You might have missed them but I don't think Durham will.

Hilariously after you'd made a list, Foxy, who'd made a far more facile list of her own, thinks you need medical help. Perhaps you could get it together with Foxy and get a bulk discount. (Seems Foxy still believes in the pee tape story - when she falls for something, no matter how stupid, she remains fallen for good).

Two points:
1. That privileged class overwhelmingly support the Democrats. I wonder if you can work out what that means.
2. Things are so bad in the US that these poor downtrodden masses are desperate to leave. That's why they had to build the wall - to keep them in. Isn't that right Paul?

I've used the metaphor before but it still applies - some look at the Mona Lisa and see the smile, others see only the cracks in the paint - and I feel sorry for them.

ALL swamps.

Oh Joe so finally we are getting somewhere. We agree that all are corruptible and almost all politicians, academics, clergymen, teachers, doctors. nurses, labourers prove that. So now we have to vote on policy rather than personality. That is where the democrats fail on all accounts dismally. Anyway neither of us will be voting so I am not sure why we are debating this stuff so rigorously. Personally I would love a politician the calibre of Trump in Australia. The best we have are the likes of Matt Cananagh, Amanda Stokes and Mark Latham. Pity their wield little influence.

btw Foxy won't be going to a doctor unless I have to. Seen how idiotic many of our health bureacrats have acted over the last 6 months. Really has exposed how dumbed down many of them are.

mhaze,

More drivel and desperation.
Keep on entertaining us - good job!

The Mona Lisa is an ugly Italian woman -
skillfully painted. Kudos.

Same goes when looking at Trump - an obsene American
fraudster and con man. - And defending the
indefensible, and denying the obvious is untenable in the
long term - no matter how much
razzle dazzle is attempted to be applied. There are some
things that money can't buy - like morals and intelligence.
And sooner or later things will go belly-up.

As for runner? The less said the better.
He's drive by comments speak for themselves.
