Jose' it may well be true that this Hamilton Brown was as you say, a slave owner, which is not disputed, but the claim that he; "advocated against the abolition of slavery and sought to downplay the difficult working and living conditions of slaves in Jamaica." Where is that claim from? Is it a Trump lie, or is it recorded as fact. Since you are quoting from 'Wikipedia' "Brown was active in trying to recruit Irish people to work in Jamaica. In December 1835, 121 people from Ballymoney, Antrim, set off from Belfast for Jamaica on the James Ray, a brig owned by Brown."
The latest from The Donald; supporters should boycott American businesses that are NOT openly supporting his erection. One example is the Goodyear tyre company, accordingly; "Trump has urged his supporters to boycott tyres from Goodyear, tweeting that the Ohio-based company had banned his famous Make America Great Again slogan." Which is another lie from The Donald. The fact is Goodyear have "asked employees to refrain from workplace expressions involving political campaigns (all and any) and "forms of advocacy that fall outside the scope of racial justice and equity issues". So much for the lying Donald.
