You might also ponder that the meagre Russian interference was done under the Obama regime and was specifically allowed by that regime, with US operatives told not to stop the Russian interference.

PenelopeP was of coarse completely correct. So-called reputable news sources got this story utterly wrong because they didn't bother to seek the truth.
There are court cases currently proceeding on this very issue. The papers being sued aren't even trying to claim they got it right, instead asserting they have no obligation to seek the truth before making their reports.
But your assertion that PenelopeP should be more selective in what she reads is a doozy. Selecting sources that tell you what you want to hear rather than the truth, is why you so often end up on the wrong side of the truth
