If someone's statements are not denied, they still might be true or untrue. In most cases, people's statements are not challenged (particularly in the media). In most cases people who are challenged simple ignore the challenge.

AC, I'm sorry but I've just finished abusing a woman on one of the help lines listed on one of your links.
Here am I thinking this was a Federal initiative,so imagine my surprise when she told me it was a WA one. I still did not let her off the hook, as I explained, because the help line number is on the web, and she works for the help line mob, which by the way turns out to be federal, go figure, so I explained she too was complicit and guilty of child grooming, or just plain wrong. I further advised that she pass my details on up the line so I can abuse someone higher, and so on, hopefully I get to abuse the bloody idiot/s who came up with this stupid program. I read the one about 'Youth say no', what a disgrace, who's running things up there. What I read made me sick, I told her this program discriminated against parents and left kids in a void, lacking direction or oversight. The govt first took away the power of the parents over their children then stupidly told the children, 'no-one can tell you what to do'. Idiots, one and all. What the govt has done basically, is to come into your home remove the child, by stealth and without 'just cause', then once outside, told them 'OK off you go and do what you want'. And that's why we have these out of control 'pigs' out there today. There seems to be no way of bringing sanity back to get things back in order any more. We are made helpless by whoever it is that's controlling Canberra. I've always said, if I ever fall to a terminal illness I will make sure I right these wrongs. Then if/when I get caught, the govt can foot my medical bills and care. I'd be incarcerated in hospital. What's not to like, room service every day, meals delivered in your room, with the newspaper, TV 24/7. To me it has always been a very pleasant 'holiday'. Hey ALTRAV,
"I further advised that she pass my details on up the line so I can abuse someone higher, and so on, hopefully I get to abuse the bloody idiot/s who came up with this stupid program." That's the way, why bother going to corporate when those morons are too busy eating their fancy taxpayer-paid free lunches and couldn't give a toss anyway ... They've got to leave room for these type of things if they're running a circus show. "There seems to be no way of bringing sanity back to get things back in order any more. We are made helpless by whoever it is that's controlling Canberra." - Personally I think a lot has to do with the UN sustainable Development Goals - Posted by Armchair Critic, Sunday, 6 January 2019 2:31:42 PM

Armchair Critic,
Thank You for the links. We've already been told that the WA Dept of Education has stated that the "curriculum is still being developed." Therefore we don't actually know the specifics of what's going to be taught. In one of the links that you gave us - I found it interesting to read the given examples of abusive behaviour - some of which included: 1) Name calling and swearing/abusing to make people feel bad. 2) Turning around every argument/ so that its always your fault never theirs. 3) Threatening ... fundamentally grotesque assertions, slanderous comments, name calling, threats 4) Cyber bullying - using technology or social media to harass, intimidate, or again threaten. The link stressed that there is no excuse for being abusive and trying to excuse the behaviour is as wrong as the behaviour itself. It is important to identify acts of verbal and emotional abuse. People need to understand that it is not OK to be treated like this and that there is help available. We're not yet sure what the WA Department of Education has in mind, yet - but teaching youths - how not to behave - and "what's not acceptable" are standards worth proclaiming in schools - no matter how many times we may fail to live up to them. Again - Thank You for the links. Posted by Foxy, Sunday, 6 January 2019 2:46:28 PM

AC, "Schools are places where children learn how to interact with others and work together in a respectful way. Schools model respectful relationships and can help students to understand that no one should be abused. For some students schools may provide the only safe haven they have for coping with family violence and abuse. Going to school for those students provides the stability and support they require." "Schools are also important settings for challenging and understanding attitudes and beliefs about gender and power that perpetuates family violence and abuse. Schools can be catalysts for generational and cultural change as they are both places of learning for students and places of work for adults." "By explicitly examining power relations and challenging traditional gender roles and stereotypes in classrooms and in policies and processes within the school workplace, cultural change can be shaped." "Peers are a key source of support for all students regardless of their experience of family violence." "Young people often find it easier to talk to their friends about issues and problems they may be having. These teaching and learning materials have been developed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to support their peers." Not trying to be harsh or anything, but if you've got issues with the news source why don't you find another more credible source for the article?
