I think Johannes Leek cartoon summed up the putried state of the democrats.

mhaze,
I don't know why you keep banging on about the Trump "peace deal" when it's so obvious as to what it really is. Here's a link from Antony Loewenstein a journalist and author based in Israel - who wrote the best seller - "My Israel Question", he knows what he's talking about: http://www.antonyloewenstein.com/trumps-middle-east-plan-demands-palestinian-subjugation/ And here's another take on the topic: http://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/08/14/trump-mideast-israel-uae-deal-395567 Posted by Foxy, Monday, 17 August 2020 2:06:10 PM

My apologies for the typo. Here's the link again: http://www.antonyloewenstein.com/trumps-middle-east-peace-plan-demands-palestinian-subjugation/ Posted by Foxy, Monday, 17 August 2020 2:13:32 PM

Foxy,
Your lowenstien link fails....a does Lowenstien. I've warned you about believing anything he says before, but I guess if he says what you want to hear then that's OK. Did you read the Friedman link I sent earlier? Friedman is no friend of Trump but is able to see what the agreement really is. By the way, if the agreement is so bad and just a means to help Trump get elected, why is Sleepy Joe trying to take credit for it? Don't worry Foxy, we don't expect you to answer uncomfortable questions. Posted by mhaze, Monday, 17 August 2020 2:15:38 PM

Mhaze,
Both: As Paul said, "It was a clear attempt by Trump to stir controversy...." AND Trumpf's contemptible attempt "to make out Kamala Harris is an ineligible candidate". Not either/or: both. Can you understand that ? So Kamala Harris is a citizen ? Yes. And she was born in the US, i.e. she is natural-born ? Yes. So she's a natural-born US citizen. Was she competent in her position as California's attorney-general ? Seems so. Was she soft on crime ? Not particularly, except insofar as she opposes the death penalty. Has she committed any indiscretions, like grabbing some eye-candy bloke by the nuts ? No. Even though, as one could infer from Trumpf's similar forays and bragging, she could have. Does she curse on TV and at rallies. like Trumpf ? No. Does she support racists like the KKK ? No. Does she have long-term links to the Mafia ? No. As a cosmopolitan, with ancestry and relations in various parts of the world, is she likely to be au fait with international affairs ? Of course. She probably even knows where Finland is, which would be an improvement. And no, she probably wouldn't want to buy Greenland or Iceland. Or Finland either. She's probably aware even that Australians speak English. She smart. And she wear mask. She brave. On the above grounds, if I were a US citizen, I would be very happy and relieved to vote for her as V-P, with Biden as President. She would be his steadying hand. Biden and Harris saviours of a troubled world? No, not really, but the alternative is just too ridiculous to contemplate.
Who knows what surprises the puerile Trump mind might yet conceive in his imperialistic drive to achieve historical relevance. Afterall, he only shot for the Presidency in the first instance as a means to make history and to achieve greater prominence - mostly in his own mind. And, what 'debts' to various world powers and powerful individuals are yet to be honoured - irrespective of America's (and the world's) genuine best interests?
No-one should trust a leader who 'shoots from the hip' (and the mouth), so often without serious evaluation; who has to rely on scripted notes to convey information on 'serious' matters (which scripts have been carefully composed by serious, and obviously worried, behind-the-scenes advisors - trying desperately to keep the 'T' under some semblance of integrity and credibility).
Such a muddled intellect has no place as 'commander in chief' or as notional leader of the free world, or, realistically, even as the lackey who polishes the commander's boots.
If there is any common sense remaining in the so evidently scrambled brains of the US populace, required justice will be duly served.
