Steele,

"Just bloody listen to yourself [deleted]. What you are basically saying is that the rider was such a mindless automaton that it didn't matter what the circumstance he was going to pull a hard left and crash through that gate regardless if there were children or anyone in the road. Therefore anyone who got in his path was at fault"

What I am saying is that those who decided to close the gate and put themselves in harm's way were at fault and if they took children with them then they are even more stupid than I thought.

Dear Is Mise,

Mate, so not a single peep out of you regarding your thoughts on whether the clown was a mindless automaton therefore we shall take that as a given.

Of course there was no stupidity attributed by yourself to this idiot who violently altered course to crash through a gate with someone clearly behind it.

This was fully justified in your book is it?

The police and courts found his conduct reckless and endangering lives. You because of your simplistic and base ideology have instead determined the fault to be all hers.

Mate, you are an outlier so caught up in your version of the world that basic facts and truths mean little.

You and others have applauded the fact that this woman was injured by an act of gross irresponsibility by some coward attempting to intimidate a peaceful demonstration.

Mate, you really need to have a good look at yourself.

S R hows it feel?
Belly,
You even have to ask ? That's a new record ! One liners eh ?
Well, at times they're warranted, especially in rhetoric eminating from you & SR et al.
Whenever I or others put a question to you lot you remain stumm ! So, I ask you, what'd be the point of asking more questions when it is there for all to see that you have no answers or propose solutions. You reap as you sow !

Dear individual,

Now don't go all sulky on us.

This is the level of your questions;

"are you that overweight sheilah that was complaining about her cost for electricity on Insight this evening ?"

And you are getting ticked off that you aren't getting answers?

Well try one relevant to the discussion and I will answer it to the best of my abilities.

Dear Is Mise,

Mate, did you really just provide a link to an American dictionary for a definition of the word mate? I had assumed you were Australian born but perhaps not. We older Aussies are mostly of British origin here mate, and most of us used the trusty Australian version of the Collins dictionary growing up.

Your Websters give the definition as;

1) associate, companion
2) an assistant to a more skilled worker
3) friend, buddy

Buddy? God save us. Really? Well we ain't buddies, that's for sure. Although number two “an assistant to a more skilled worker” has a certain ring to it. I suppose you could be my mate in that sense.

The Collins versions are here;

http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/mate

1. You can refer to someone's friends as their mates, especially when you are talking about a man and his male friends.

2. Some men use mate as a way of addressing other men when they are talking to them.

3. Someone's wife, husband, or sexual partner can be referred to as their mate.

But these don't really do justice to the various nuanced way we use the word in this country. This site might help.

http://australiancultureandcustoms.com/2013/02/14/the-many-meanings-of-mate/

My use of mate with you is primarily covered by version 15 but 8 and 17 have relevance too.

We are probably unique in this country with the amount of hostility we can engender in using the word when the occasion calls for it. An example is “Pull your bloody head in mate!”

Some foreigners get it.

So mate, as far as I'm concerned you can shove your Yank definition where the sun doesn't shine and no I won't be considering it in future posts.

But nice diversion from your mate the clown on the horse, I wonder if he has dried his eyes yet. One thing is for sure, he isn't lying in a hospital bed receiving treatment for suspected spinal injuries.
