Foxy,

I believe that the mine can and should go ahead not that it necessarily will. The problems relate almost entirely with the Labor/green activist Jackie Trad who is throwing up obstacles left right and centre to stop the mine re investigating issues that have already been signed off and creating a real risk of Queensland being sued for $bns for sovereign risk issues.

Paul,

Again you expose the pinhead logic of the greens. Whether or not the coal comes from the Adani mine or not, the same volume of coal will be burnt and the sacrifice of 1000s of jobs and $bns in taxes will not have made a jot of difference to climate change, in fact the higher sulphur content of the Indonesian, South African, etc coal will actually make things worse.

Talking with the Labor bloke yesterday, was told by him that Labor's action on Climate change is what matters most. Couldn't quite tell me though what that action entails ! Anyone here know ?
Germany has tried for 30 years to come up with renewable energy but no luck thus far. Shorten reckons he can do it in a few years ? Grow a brain, mutt !

There are questions to be answered regarding the hasty approval given to Adani by the now "missing in action" Environment Minister Melissa Price. A Federal ICAC could investigate if any pressure was applied by anyone in government on the CSIRO to knock up a quick report on Adani. The Minister also needs to answer what pressure was placed on her to give a quick approval. The Liberals would create plenty of overtime for a Federal ICAC.

If you agree with a dirty big toxic incinerator for the centre of Sydney, Adani should be no problem, right Shadow.

Dear Paul,

If he isn't telling then he is obviously ashamed so probably best to let him be on this one.

Dear individual,

You write;

“Talking with the Labor bloke yesterday, was told by him that Labor's action on Climate change is what matters most. Couldn't quite tell me though what that action entails ! Anyone here know ?”

Yup. Me. Pretty simple really. As a federal government of this country I would expect them to be making serious, timely and effective efforts to curb the amount of greehouse gases we produce a a nation. That may well include offsets through re-vegetation. I also want them to assist other countries in doing the same. Labour's policy of aiming for 50% of new car sales being electric is one such measure.

Paul,

Most people are tired of your lies and wild hyperbole. All the environmental assessments were signed off by the Queensland departments under Labor, the recent problems are when Labor pandering to the greens went and reopened the investigations using environmental activists whose prime goal was to shut down the mine under any circumstances.

As for the "dirty big toxic incinerator for the centre of Sydney" this incinerator:
has all the emissions filtered and scrubbed to meet tight environmental standards
Would have been situated far far from the middle of Sydney in an industrial area in Eastern Springs.
Would generate 50MW of renewable energy
Would burn millions of tons of waste that would otherwise go to landfill.
Yes, as it is a huge benefit to the environment I would approve it.
