Any asteroids larger than a football, travelling at high speeds would I expect destroy space probes.

Would be far easier to invent successful space exploration stories rather than to actually send space probes out into space, having probes fail.

The reaction of many people court unaware by my readings having been told something which argues (what they already believe to be true) is actually false, I realise emotional anxiety in being wrong will convince Neanderthals not to read my readings again.
