The fight is between Australia and criminal gangs smuggling people.

The Abbott government was elected partly on its undertaking to break the criminal gangs' business model and stop the disgusting loss of life at sea that was a feature of the previous Labor/Greens government.

As well, the Australian people required the incoming government to re-establish control of our borders. That had been lost by the previous Labor/Greens government, opening Australia to a host of most serious problems, including:

- the very likely introduction of exotic pests and diseases that would, not could, destroy primary industry and threaten the health of citizens; and

- loose borders and apparent lack of will to protect borders are an open invitation to invasion. That is easily accomplished by flooding people across the border and claiming the right to the 'unoccupied' lands. But how could they be evicted anyhow once here in large numbers? Their country of departure or any other could claim the right to defend their citizens and interests with police, paramilitary, military or government-supported terrorism.

This Ruddy mess is the direct result of political idealism, and foolish pronouncements and actions by Labor ex-PM Rudd, continued by Julia Wahtshername. As an act of supreme arrogance, Rudd's return to the PM role saw him involve Indonesia in domestic politics on the matter. The 'Progressives' aka Fabian Socialists aka International Socialists still haven't learned.

The Abbott government is succeeding. The main impediment is the Fifth Column at home, of whom a significant number are middle class professionals who stand to gain from illegal migration, for example as lawyers and advocates swinging from the guvvy teat.

A trainee Sheriff posted a threatening Facebook message aimed at Cop Block, an organization which advocates filming police officers, in which the soon to be cop said that protesters should be exterminated in “gas chambers” and that he would beat them up “just for the sheer joy of it.”

"While its rare that we receive direct death treats, they must be taken seriously, especially when they come from someone with military training and is about to become a Law enforcement agent / Sheriff," states a post on the official CopBlock Facebook page.

The threats were made by Darren Redding, a former U.S. Marine and a current cadet in training with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Department. His Facebook page, which is currently being deluged with angry responses, can be seen here.

Well surprise,surprise, that is the intent behind Abbott's border control--every place taken by a crafty illegal immigrant is one less for those in the camps.
