Shucks, sorry Belly and ors, that lusty Dusty Springfield song Wishin' and Hopin' didn't play. Here, trying again with a different link,

Sorry but if that does not work you will have to hum it. You do hum. LOL

579,
your references re the Liberal Government Policies are weird from where I am standing because here the very far North just about everything has gone to the dogs due the previous Labor Government's policies.
Perhaps Labor is ok for Urbania but it's totally hopeless in the Bush.

I'm worried about the kill sharks policy the government has initiated here in the South West of WA.

Not because I like great white sharks, but because of the trouble all the protesters bring with them. They will be constructing the shark 'fence' at 2 beaches I sometimes frequent.

I always wonder if these people actually have a job, other than ranting and raving about saving a few big man-eating sharks that swim too close to human swimmers.

579, it was the belief of the founder of the Liberal Party 'Pig Iron' Bob Menzies, got that tag for his support of Japan pre war, that Australia should have a pool of 10% unemployed, keep wage demands down, and unions under control. So what's new. Abbotts hero is Howard, Howard hero was Menzies, it says it all.
In July 1938 Menzies as a government minister spent 4 days in Nazi Germany. On his return he extolled the virtues of the German system under Hitler. So you can get an idea of the "Thoughts of the fuhrer Menzies". In 2014 Abbott should make a state visit to North Korea, there because Germany has changed a little since 1938, too democratic these days for Abbott, and get a few more North Korean ideas on how to run Australia.

Paul1405,
I really think that instead of concentrating on giving us little histery lessons which btw most of us are already aware of, you should focus on cultivating logic & perhaps thrw in a little common sense as well. You'd be surprised at the outcome.

The conservatives tend not to like history as it shows them up for what there are.
As Bazel Fawlty famously said;
"Listen, don't mention the war! I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it all right. So! It's all forgotten now, and let's hear no more about it. So, that's two egg mayonnaise, a prawn Goebbels, a Hermann Goering, and four Colditz salads." LOL
