I notice the Lady's are backing csteele.
And inferring we mear males are dead heads. I remember too the police officer wrongly charged with asulting a Muslim convert and the grubs and thugs who formed a chain around the court. Csteele support them, even when lies had been proved. A PC like, well it is PC cloud is trying to force us to be silent. To forget the murders the signs world wide. Tells us we are bigots but not the mother of the behead sign. Not the our dead are in paradise yours are inn hell. We victimize the poor folk. NO WE DO NOT! Never be blinded by such . It will be mostly the men who march off to defend our right to live, to worship or not,to live in the enemy of Islam, a democracy. Posted by Belly, Thursday, 20 September 2012 11:44:55 AM

Belly,
"And inferring we mear males are dead heads." No-one is attempting to silence you. You and the others are reacting in a typical human manner to a "perceived" threat from without. You are all, in fact, fueling each others' fear and animosity in a mildly hysterical fashion...nothing new there - it's a very human and tribal response. Michael Leunig is right that [the riot(s)] "....are only a small piece of the mosaic..." Posted by Poirot, Thursday, 20 September 2012 1:52:18 PM

*You and the others are reacting in a typical human manner to a "perceived" threat from without*
I guess it could be said that you Poirot, are arguing in a typically human female fashion too, as I happen to perchance reread David Buss's "Human Mating Strategies", as I was cleaning up. Being feminine, your fight or flight response would be switched to flight, running behind some male for protection, should a "threat" ever get too close. Meantime, turning the other cheek is a dismal failure in nature. Csteele meanwhile believes in his Kumbaya culture, thinking that reason will solve everything. Sadly that is not so, with deeply engrained religious beliefs. The biggest killers of muslims are in fact other muslims who have a different intepretration of their holy book, no matter what is reasoned. Therin lies the problem and therefor my comment, that wherever Islam goes, trouble surely follows. If Muslim migrants had been say Buddhist migrants, we would not be having this discussion. There is really no good reason why the obvious should not be stated. Yabby,
"Csteele meanwhile believes in his Kumbaya culture, thinking that reason will solve everything. Sadly, that is not so, with deeply ingrained religious beliefs..." You may be right about that: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2005/oct/07/iraq.usa It's fascinating how you and a few others turn this whole argument on the matter of gender...and even more fascinating that those of us who are labelled as being in the "feminine" camp are lambasted for appealing to "reason" instead of bellicose hysteria. Just goes to show what savage beasties humans are beneath the facade of culture and "civilisation". Posted by Poirot, Thursday, 20 September 2012 3:38:31 PM

Well yes Poirot, I know I am right about that and yes, civilisation
as its called, is just paper thin. It doesen't take much to go back to the laws of jungle, as we saw when New Orleans was flooded. I also think that there is nothing wrong in pointing out the dangers of religion, of whatever brand it is. It took the secular world hundreds of years of battle , to free itself somewhat from the shackles of the Catholic Church. They did not achieve it by turning the other cheek. Pointing out the problems of Islam, is indeed a topic that should be debated, without being accused of islamophobia or hysteria. We really should not need to repeat this stuff again, in the Western World. Posted by Yabby, Thursday, 20 September 2012 4:00:50 PM

Yes, an intended one. Da da! Though I suspect very, very close to the truth.
Does she & her ilk worry me. Too right, because the PC crowd seem to support them against ordinary Australians. If ever they do take control, & the PC crowd have to convert or get beheaded, they will say, (as the old Viet Cong do in Vietnam now,) "This is not what we fought for. We were duped."
Poi rot, have you watched any of the Utube videos SPQR & I have posted. No? I didn't think so.
