ALGOREisRICH.
Be aware of what "yada yada" means. It is the Hebrew word meaning to have sex.

For those of you who advocate the use of nuclear power, I have one word CHERNOBYL. The true is it would take billions of dollars in investment for Australia to have a small nuclear power station. The rest of the World knows that nuclear power will ever only produce about 15% of the Worlds total energy requirements. We have no shortage of energy the Sun provides much more than we require. A couple of points to consider about nuclear:
1 What is the solution for the disposal of radioactive waste.
2.The production of U-238 leads to U-235 and nuclear weapons proliferation. Rouge states like America have nuclear weapons and have used them. Are we to join this band of rouge states?
There are many other points that could be made on this subject, these 2 will do for now.
The answer is SUSTAINABILITY or are we looking for the easy road which is not there.

Paul,

For all you that advocate flying I have only one word for you HINDENBERG.

Unless of course you have a brain and realise that modern 747s can't be compared with pre WW2 aircraft, neither can modern reactors be compared with 1950s Chernobyl. Besides the Bhopal gas leak in India killed more people than Chernobyl.

As for waste, there are new techniques for reprocessing, and new reactor types that can consume the waste, which you would know about if you could read. (PS rouge is a colour - dusty red)

SM thanks for the spelling lesson The United Rogue States of America
"Besides the Bhopal gas leak in India killed more people than Chernobyl". Is this some kind of justification for the risks involved with nuclear power generation. If you fill a 747 with hydrogen gas I don't want to ride in it. What do you think of solar, wind, tidal, wave power generation, unlike nuclear power these are renewable forms of energy production and produce more power per dollar of investment than does nuclear, plus there is no toxic waste.
Fast neutron reactors to process waste into stuff like plutonium, that is a great idea, we could give it to the rogue state so they could expand their nuclear arsenal to protect their strategic and economic interests throughout the World.

Paul1405;
You are like so many, you just don't know about Chernobyl.
The problem was pointed out to the Russians before they built that
design at a conference in Vienna in 1956 but they poo hooed that advice.

That failure cannot happen again.
Anyway more people die mining coal but you still use electricity.
You are not a hypocrite are you ?

I support Nuclear power totally.
I understand todays power stations, all over the world are safe.
Much safer than the Russian thing or five mile Island.
I know too if we go Nuclear we do more by that single action for climate change gases than EVERY OTHER thing we say we will do.
Give ALP gutlessness on that subject we must find the back bone to act, and to put our first Nuclear power plant on the construct now list.
If we fail conservatives will do it.
