What matters is that the pieces are put together to make a functional civilisation. It amazes me that some see civilisations fashioned by millenia of cultural interactions and think them monocultures. Even more astounding are those who think a pile of rubble the best choice and refer to it as multiculturalism.

Still don't get it, do you Paul? In your simplistic understanding, multiculturalism is all about the local Chinese restaurant and kebab outlet.

You don't get the difference between a country being multicultural and a country adhering to a policy of multiculturalism.

Let's see if I can make it simpler for you via one (of many) examples. Australia is a country where an estimated 5,000 cases of Female Genital Mutilation occur every year. In a country suffering under the claims that all cultures are equal, this practice is frowned upon but not suppressed. Multicultural Australia doesn't prosecute those who mutilate their young girl's genitals because of the need for 'cultural sensitivity'. In a monocultural society these practices would be called what they are - abhorrent and beyond the pale and would be effective wiped out.

See the difference? No? Oh well, back to your Dog Chow Mein.

If you think the indigenous Australians and the first fleeters who arrived on their land are both monocultures, then I would suggest that the term is a trivial one.

Consider the hypothetical of the meeting taking place a few millennia earlier. Of the Brits: Yes, arriving at the destination would have been a complete fluke given the status of boat building and navigation. What language did the Brits speak? What food did they eat? What were their customs and skills? In comparison, would the indigenous Australians be observed to have changed greatly over the millennia?

I think it better to describe cultures in terms of their technical development and the degree of interaction both within the culture and with other cultures. Interactive vs exclusive and developed vs undeveloped if you like.

Saw the term Unicultural somewhere on the Net. Perhaps that could solve the deliberate misinterpretations of the term Monocultural by the Leftards !
Uni would be a term used for compatible migrant vs Multi for all but mostly incompatible agenda based or economic migrants !
It would help with keeping discussions worthwhile !

That is 100 a week, a significant number, how, and by whom was that estimated, who is doing this? Is it your estimate, I'm not saying its not true, then again it could be the result of crystal ball gazing by YOU. I would like to know where that figure came from. I have long suspected like your folk hero Daffy Donald, YOU may make up your own facts from time to time.

BTW; Female genital mutilation is not something I condone. I'm not in favour of circumcision as practised by Judaism as well. Just as car stealing by white Anglo-Celtic teenagers is off limits with me, but it does appear to be part of the culture these days.
