I finally set him straight by pointing out that I wasn't criticising just the ALP but all the major parties who have created an immigration system badly in need of repair. I provided quotes from this very thread!!

Paul suddenly realises he's been headed down the garden path in trying to defend the ALP from an accusation that was never made.

So what does Paul do when he realises he's screwed up yet again? Well he does what he always does and releases his inner 7 year old to throw a nonsensical tantrum (see his last deranged post).

He's very likely employed as an immigration officer & still needs to get more of his friends & family here, hence his vehement defending of the mess that is inevitably developing.
No-one with an ounce of integrity would behave as he does !
btw. As an indicator of the level of stupidity at hand now, an ABC reporter spoke with a tourist about a boat load of illegals coming ashore near Weipa a few days ago. The tourist said he thought it odd for a couple of vehicles hanging around until about a dozen men got ashore & went straight to vehicles & took off. The tourist then told the whole World that "lucky it was School holidays & tourists were around to see what's going on". That should not have been broadcast as it now gives the people smugglers another opportunity to work on a better schedule.

YOU obviously lied by saying Albanese had said immigration was "OUT OF CONTROL", when he never said that, he descried it as "BROKEN".

Until recently there was bipartisan support on immigration between Labor and the Noalition, but since the Noalition has been spooked by the bigoted racists from One Nation they have tried to win back red necked support by lunging so far to the right on immigration.

I did read about a group of Chinese nationals, illegally entering Australia on a boat at Pennefather Beach (where's that!), about 50 kilometres north of Weipa on the Cape Yorke Peninsula. With our massive coast line of nearly 60,000 Km, and its remoteness I'm not surprised at that. They went to Weipa, some went to the local pub, and others to Woolies, they were arrested by Boarder Force Officers, in the food court area, eating what appeared to be 'Chicko Rolls' and drinking cappuccino's

I think Paul1405 for clarification is talking about "Border Force Officers" rather than "Boarder Force Officers" that operate in enforcing rules out at Childers Palace.

Nonetheless there remains bipartisanship on immigration. Both majors now agree that the numbers of immigrants that were let in while the system was out of control is/was too high and needs to be reined in. They realised this, or were forced to adopt these policies only after One Nation changed the national conversation. Its called 'The Hanson Effect'.

A front bencher believes all the woes of her party can be fixed with a name change, so NOALITION being the three right wing parties together with no policies seems a good name, don't YOU agree?
