Bugger that I remember the stale, drunken, violent monoculture Australia used to be.
The culture that one nation (and the lieberals for that matter) wants is the homogenous, stifling, boring culture of the 1950s. Where anyone who wasnt a white male was a second class citizen. Where men ruled over their wives, families and society in general with incompetence and authoritarianism. A crap, insular and ridiculous society perpetually 30 years behind the rest of the world. A society rejected by the baby boomers and transformed by the immigration and multicultural policies of a succession of Australian governments. Governments head and shoulders above the past few. How many times do they have to be wrong before we wake up to Hansons lies and prejudices. How long will it take us to see her hurtful racist dogma for what it really is. A tactic to take attention away from the real issues of them and their rich mates and their constant screwing of the rest of us. Posted by mikk, Friday, 19 June 2026 8:10:22 PM

Hi Paul
I disagree with Hanson’s comments on monoculture and in the past have cheerfully identified myself as a supporter of multiculturalism. I still do, but I would qualify it somewhat. There are certain core values in our society that we must insist that immigrants (and I’m one) embrace or at least conform to – the rule of the law, non-violent resolution of conflict, equal rights and opportunities regardless of sex, gender, race or religion; freedom of speech and religion; democratic government. These are the foundations of our liberal democracy and are precisely what makes it possible for us to enjoy a diverse society that has embraced people of different backgrounds and cultures and benefitted enormously from migration. We can also learn from Europe, where a multicultural approach of celebrating difference and not requiring that migrants integrate has produced ghettos where people live lives separate from (and often alienated from or even hostile to) mainstream society, retaining their old language, customs, values, education systems and even laws. The key issue lies in the differences between separation, assimilation and integration. Hanson wants assimilation – that migrants adopt completely the customs, practices, culture, language and values of their host community so they become indistinguishable from it. In rejecting this, European-style multiculturalism encouraged separation - that migrants can retain the customs, practices, culture, language and values of their country of origin with little or no accommodation to their new home. I think the best approach is integration, which has elements of both. Migrants are full participants in the economic, social, and community life of their new country and conform to its fundamental values, but keep aspects of their cultural identity and share these with the host community to the benefit of both Posted by Rhian, Friday, 19 June 2026 8:42:15 PM

Well multiculturalism has caused so much strife in Australia and every Western country that has had it forced on them by low-life politicians trying to please the UN, that a return to a monoculture would be very welcome.
One Nation's apparent acceptance of 'multracialism' is, I believe, mentioned only because it is now impossible to get rid of get rid of certain immigrations who have been granted citizenship. For mine, Australia should have stayed predominantly white, Anglo-Saxon/European. Too late to change now, I know; but at least I have enjoyed the better part of my life without stupidly imported people total unlike the host population, and I hope the lunatics responsible for wrecking Australia will eventually pay for stupidity. The worst is still to come. Posted by ttbn, Friday, 19 June 2026 9:58:59 PM

Mono Culture is already practised by the Left all over the World under the guise of Multiculturalism. Islam openly tells of one Culture or else. I wonder where the proponents of Multiculturalism stand on that !
I'd support a common Law of a Nation as it would prevent the confusion & disruption as a result of many cultures fighting for relevance. Just look at Indi, Pakistan, the Middle east & much of Africa exports to Europe & what they achieve there & here too already ! Posted by Indyvidual, Friday, 19 June 2026 10:17:58 PM

Oops. Poor editing and spelling errors caused by being thoroughly pissed off with people I regard as fifth columnists and disgraces to Australia; people who don't have the intelligence to handle free speech.
I'm not referring to Rhian who, although wrong, is a reasonable and sane person. I note that another rich person, Kyle Sandilands, has thrown his weight - and presumably his money - behind Pauline Hanson. That should have the instigator of this thread yowling like a cut cat. Hi mikk, Rhian,
I see the acceptance of those basic rights; "the rule of the law, non-violent resolution of conflict, equal rights and opportunities regardless of sex, gender, race or religion; freedom of speech and religion; democratic government." as part of the universal values that all people share. Along with some other added values, customs, language, dress, beliefs, history, arts, foods and traditions that a person holds dear, those things combined forms a persons culture. Ones culture is influenced by many factors as well, family, education, social environment, employment, and certainly by ethnicity and for the religious by their religion. Those values that Rhian mentioned are very important as forming part of the Australian ethos of the somewhat abstract ideals of a "fair go" with its egalitarianism, honesty, respect and mate ship, these ideals are far more important to me than what food you eat, how you dress, what language you speak, from where you came, or the way you look, your sexuality, or the colour of your skin. As these things are far easier to identify within people, they are also far easier to use to universally stigmatise, blame, vilify and create animosity towards others who are, "not like us"! The Lovely Pauline is doing just that as part of her seeking power through a weak populist agenda. I am totally shocked that the Coalition (not all) is prepared to jump into the back of the Gina plane with Gina as pilot, and the Lovely Pauline as co-pilot up front, as they all fly off over right field trying to drag Australia along with them. Hi ttbn,
To take YOU up on your comment; "I (ttbn) note that another rich person, Kyle Sandilands, has thrown his weight - and presumably his money - behind Pauline Hanson. That should have the instigator of this thread (Paul1405) yowling like a cut cat." This KS is as I understand a radio 'shock jock', in the same vain of that turd who karked it, John Laws. Pleased that he has thrown his weight, which seems to be considerable, in fact he appears to be obese, a heart attack waiting to happen, behind One Nation, I would tear up my Greens membership if KS was contribution to them. Sandilands only "talent" is to pollute the air waves with obnoxious obscenity along with his partner in crime, some blond bimbo named O! Doing this nonsense for millions of dollars. These cretins are engaged in what I call "wealth theft", taking huge amounts of dosh from a productive society, whilst contributing absolutely nothing of value themselves. The Lovely Pauline is another wealth thief, thirty years with her snout in the public trough, whilst contributing nothing worthwhile. Is it not ironic that Hanson wants to sack workers who through sickness can't work, yet she in her $341,000 pa Senate job, has turned up 12% of the time. Who should be sacked! Modern civilisation takes things from many cultures. It is multicultural by default. If you want monoculture then go to the Andaman Islands and get the arrow porcupine welcome to country from a bunch of savages.
Monocultures are the equivalent of living at the end of the railway track, one piece of Lego is not equivalent to the completed model if you like. There is good and bad in the building of civilisation, but all benefit from what has been built. Leaving the pieces in a pile seems to be Magoo's idea, whereas building something great from it should be the goal. Posted by Fester, Saturday, 20 June 2026 8:08:43 AM

An example of the last attempt at establishing a monoculture in Europe;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSvS4LY26Yg "While the Nazi regime ruthlessly attempted to force Germany into a rigid, homogenous "monoculture" based on their racial and political ideals, it was not a natural monoculture. Instead, it was a highly diverse society that the state sought to violently reshape through the mass exclusion, imprisonment, and murder of those who did not fit their narrow vision." Unsuitable, and in many instances dangerous, immigration and multiculturalism will continue due to the Socialists’ total inability to run the economy. Albanese needs more and more people to tax and eventually vote for Socialists out of gratitude.
Even the useless old people clad in Middle Eastern garb shuffling along the footpaths have to pay GST. The Socialists would have us in recession without the mass immigration of any old riff-raff who applies. There is no productivity essential to the economy. Private investment is fleeing the country as useless, often dangerous, people flock in. Immigration looks to continue to stay around 300, 000 a year. The nemesis of the Uniparty, Pauline Hanson, correctly says that “immigration has our country in a state of crisis”. Semi-Socialist, Angus Taylor sometimes talks about reducing immigration, deporting visa overstayers, Australian values:but who believes the Liberals any more? They are fence-sitters, still in shock, still too far left. There is only one party with a solution to mass immigration and multicultural lunacy. Posted by ttbn, Saturday, 20 June 2026 9:39:54 AM

To me, Pauline Hanson's call is for a monoculture for the country that everyone should adhere to for the good of the country; not that everyone should be the same on everything private and personal.
You can't get any milder than that. Posted by ttbn, Saturday, 20 June 2026 1:48:51 PM

great that Pauline has forced this debate out in the open. The snivelling God and West hating elite have managed to control the narrative by keeping people to frightened to speak the truth for far to long. We certainly don't want the culture of the paki rape gangs, isis brides or machette gangs in this country. The filthy elite like the ones that gaoled Pell on false charges while allowing Saville to molest girls for decades have been exposed for the treacherous grubs they are. People can see that god hating elites like Dawkins, Gates and Hitchens all loved to visit Epstein along with Rudd and some of Keatings family. Strange how those pushing so called ' multiculturism live in suburbs a long way from the crime it has brought.

I bet a penny to a pound that some of the Leftists pushing for multiculturalism are the same sort who, in academia, enforce an idealogical and political monoculture.

Hi Paul
I wish it were true that all people share the values I listed, but I don’t think it is. Even in these forums some regular contributors express racist and sexist views and disdain for democracy. Most countries are not democracies, and most people do not live in democratic states operated under principles such as the rule of law. Likewise with gender equality. Few countries have full legal equality in principle, let alone in practice. This is not a reason to ban migrants from certain parts of the world, as some have suggested. Many migrants are here precisely because they support Australian values and freedoms that they don’t experience in their home countries. I completely agree that values matter more than food, dress, language etc (although I do think migrants should be able to speak English). And I think Australia has benefitted enormously - socially, culturally and materially – from having a relatively high level of migration of people from diverse backgrounds. To that extent I am cheerfully and fervently pro-multicultural. But … I think that we need to reset our migration policies so they continue to operate in the best interests of the existing population. This has four dimensions. First, the number of migrants we have accepted in recent years has been more than we can comfortably absorb, and has contributed to issues such as declining housing affordability. We need to set and enforce sustainable targets for migration. Second, the composition of the migrant intake has shifted from an emphasis on permanent skilled migration towards long-term temporary migrants such as students. We need to select more carefully migrants most likely to make a long-term net contribution to our society. Third, we need to screen out people whose views are not compatible with Australia’s liberal democratic values, especially those that might be a threat to other residents. And fourth, we need to put more effort into integrating migrants and their children into the community, for example insisting that they learn English, and monitoring for radicalisation and hate speech. Pauline Hanson on multiculturalism is more in line with the founder of the Liberal Party than the Liberals themselves are.
Sir Robert Menzies was comfortable with multiracialism, but not multiculturalism. Since Malcolm Fraser adopted multiculturalism and all its dangers, the Liberal Party has not had the guts to put a stop to it. Menzies gave Australians the choice between Socialism, “with its subordination of the individual to the universal officialdom of government” and classic Liberalism where “ governments are the servants of the people. We pretty much enjoyed the latter until John Howard lost the plot, and his own seat, and the Liberals have been Labor-lite ever since. Sir Robert's last vote before he died was for the Democrats, so disgusted was he with the party he established. He would probably vote for One Nation if he was still with us. The way things are being managed lately, I would actually support the adoption of some Shariah to straighten things out. But I'm against the Monoculture of it because it doesn't work just as Democracy doesn't work. As someone asked recently "Show me where Multiculturalism is successful ? Even countries that have had several cultural groups mayhem reigns as the order of the day. Now representatives of all these opposing groups have been resettled in Australia & what do they do here ? One guess only ! If I had my way I'd have a National Service & make these young idealists spend time in the enclaves scattered around Sydney & Melbourne & Alice Springs. Multiracial is here to stay & the sooner there's no more pure blood groups the better people will get along eventually but Multiculture ? Not for generations yet ! So much time & effort wasted on unsolvable issues just to appease some cranks ? Stupid !

The closest thing to monoculture were the Australian inhabitants in 1788. With the arrival of the First Fleet Australia became a multicultural society, yet Magoo thinks it such a calamity that he tried to create apartheid Australia.
Contrary to the belief of some here, the Brits weren't a monoculture, but a vibrant civilisation which had evolved with a multitude of cultural interactions. Some of the interactions were horrible, but the resulting civilisation was better. The difference of our times as I see it is how the political leaders perceive multiculturalism. Leaders like Magoo and Starmer see multiculturalism as a basket of Lego to be scattered on the ground, whereas the historical precedent would suggest that advanced civilisations, often mistaken for monocultures, were built from the pieces. What Magoo really stands for is multi mono-culturalism, and Hanson is right in calling it a failure. Posted by Fester, Sunday, 21 June 2026 7:31:39 AM

Hi Rhian,
I agree with your above post, recent immigration has been too high, and the government recognises that, and has been working successful to reduce the overall number, not quicker enough for some peoples liking. The greatest benefit from migration are skilled immigrants, our "enemies" like New Zealand absolutely hate it. For example about 50% of doctors in Australia were born overseas, and more importantly 30% were educated overseas. That applies in many professions and trades, these people are gold for Australia. Over 70% of Australia’s permanent Migration Program visas are allocated to the Skill stream. Hanson likes to project a negative image of migrants, a stereotype of the "Afghan refugee", the radical plotting to inflict a wave of terror on the rest of us. Something of interest is if the criminality of those born in Australia, as measured by the percentage prison population, was reduced to the level of the migrant population, the number of prisons and police required could be reduced by 20% to 30%. It's just as well that the views of a handful of posters here and on social media generally do not represent the views and knowledge of the general public. Some of the rubbish dealt out is comical.
“The closest thing to monoculture were the Australian inhabitants in 1788”, for instance, demonstrates a lack of knowledge of the difference between race and culture. The British were a monoculture. Australia was a monoculture until 200 years after settlement, when multiculturalism was officially forced on the country in 1978. The Fabian, Gough Whitlam, Albanese's hero, started plotting it around 1973. Posted by ttbn, Sunday, 21 June 2026 10:24:10 AM

There's no fool like an ignorant old fool. The First Fleet, which arrived in Australia in January 1788, carried roughly 60 different nationalities and ethnic backgrounds among its approximately 1,400 passengers and crew. History tells us that about 10% of First Fleeter's were Gaelic speaking Irish, with English as a second language. They were certainly not thinking of themselves as "British". Other nationalities on board included African, Indian, American Negros, as well well as assorted Europeans. What a multicultural mob they were! This bloke probable thinks the First Fleet was loaded up with 1400 Alf Garnett's from England. Shock horror there were some Muslims (from India) as well.
"The British were a monoculture". Seriously what ignorance, did the Scots, Welsh and Irish believe that along with the English they were part of a monoculture? ttbn, if you are ever in a pub, and there's a drunken Irishman tell him he's actually a Pom, and he should be grateful for everything England done for Ireland. He will be so grateful, just before he punches your lights out! Posted by Paul1405, Sunday, 21 June 2026 12:59:47 PM

I'll give you an analogy. You see the finished building and think "monoculture". I see the materials and methods used make the building and am reminded of its multicultural heritage. Magoo smashes the building to pieces and marvels at his multicultural creation. Posted by Fester, Sunday, 21 June 2026 2:45:30 PM

I don't care if there were 60.999 ethnicities or races. I know history you fool. Australia was monocultural then and for 200 years. What people eat, wear, or do in the privacy of their own homes, whatever their accents or looks, has nothing to do with a country's overall culture. Monoculture was the official state then, and for 200 years until it was changed by a Liberal government.
Ignorant? Unlike you I know the difference between race and culture. What a dick you are. I just watched another activist dick yapping about all the food we would not have without multiculturalism. He hasn't heard about imports, obviously, and he's not old enough to know how long ago immigrants were introducing their particular cuisines into Australia - without multiculturalism. Greek, Italian, Chinese eateries were in the country town I lived in over 60 years ago, with people to go with them. There were even Muslims in some areas, all living in harmony, publicly respecting and joining the host culture, doing their own things in the privacy of their own homes - like everyone else - without multiculturalism. I've not heard a single monoculturalist calling for the closure in Australia of the vast array of ethnic restaurants and cafes, nor the importing of exotic foods. Nor that they shouldn't speak a different language among themselves, that dwindled away with the oldies who passed on. Fester You are not giving me an analogy. You are giving me, and anyone who reads your post, a load of bull poop. You lefties are not just presenting yourselves as bloody idiots to the handful of regular posters; you are spreading nonsense to around 70,000 non-contributors per month who read Online Opinion. They don't post, but they learn lots about wackjobs they would never know about if they got all of their information from the MSM. Posted by ttbn, Sunday, 21 June 2026 5:13:25 PM

The real danger and madness of this multiculturalism nonsense is not immigrants or other cultures; it lies in the self-hating lunatics of our own culture who, for reasons known only to them and completely insane people, want to dismantle Western Civilisation.

Hi ttbn,
Your claim that the British were a monoculture, is a nonsense. Even 'Pig Iron' Bob noted the diversity of Britain and its people; "criticising Australians'sensitivities around "purity of blood," noting that the British race itself "derives its strength and resilience from its mixture" of English, Irish, Scots, and Welsh ancestry." Britain has never been a completely happy union of all four, a thousand years of war between the English and the other three testifies to that. "Australia was monocultural then and for 200 years. What people eat, wear, or do in the privacy of their own homes, whatever their accents or looks, has nothing to do with a country's overall culture." Food, clothing, physical features and accents are distinct elements of life, they do not encompass the entirety of a country's culture, but are included in the overarching elements that form that culture. YOU have no understanding of exactly what is a societies culture. For example, in Australia some citizens speak English as a second language, Hanson made a point in her NPC speech that there are people speaking Mandarin and Arabic as their primary language (the language spoken in the home) in Australia. That seemed to offend Hanson as not being part of her ideal monoculture. She could have said there are people in Australia eating curry, and not meat pies, wearing kaftans, maybe that offends her as well. There is probably a multitude of things Australians do that offends that bigoted racists red neck! Posted by Paul1405, Sunday, 21 June 2026 7:07:34 PM

Hi Indy,
Put your foot in it there! "There are very few Mono Cultural Nations; China, North Korea, Japan & Arab Countries." Well off the mark with China and its 55 ethnic minorities comprising 125 million people, the majority of the population being Han Chinese. Closer with North Korea and Japan, although 4% of people in Japan are part of ethnic minorities. Arab countries are full of ethnic minorities, Amazigh's Kurds, Armenians, Assyrians, and Nubians lots of others. Did YOU know that there are Arabs that follow both Christianity and Judaism, about 15 million people in fact. Knew an Arab bloke from Jordan, Orthodox Christian family, regular church goers, believers in Jesus! More Christian than the average Aussie. Posted by Paul1405, Sunday, 21 June 2026 7:28:55 PM

Very few countries have OFFICIAL multicultural policies. That’s what this is about: OFFICIAL suicidal enforced policies without the permission of voters.
Just having a “diverse” population does not classify a country as multicultural. Canada, Australia and New Zealand are the really silly ones in the West. “While other nations embrace diversity, these three countries EXPLICITLY ENSHRINE multicultural principles into their laws, constitutions, or government frameworks. A huge difference to just tolerating diversity. Some of you people really need to get to know your own country! I really can't be bothered with people who are too thick, or who are being deliberately obtuse for the sake of an argument on this subject any longer. Posted by ttbn, Sunday, 21 June 2026 10:56:24 PM

When you add "ism" to a word, you very much change its meaning and often its intent. Being social is good. But socialism is an economy destroying notion. A commune is an innocuous place where idealists pretend to exist in harmony. But communism is a civilisation destroying evil. Capital is very different to capitalism. And so on...
That Australia is multicultural is undeniable. We always have been even before the immigrants of 1788 arrived. The culture of the Tasmanian natives was very different to that of the Arnhem peoples. The Daintree pigmies had a totally different culture to that of the Bradshaw peoples. But being multicultural is very different to having multicultural-ISM. Because multiculturalism is a governmental policy which claims that all cultures are equal and equally valid and that the nation ought to support and promote each equally. Now, that wasn't an entirely unreasonable notion when it first came into vogue back in the 1970's. But, as happens with almost all well-meaning government notions, it was subverted to the needs and proclivities of those it sought to assist. The dominant culture (ie Anglo and European culture) didn't need nor want government support. But a myriad of minority cultures very much luxuriated in the glow of government money and promotion Posted by mhaze, Monday, 22 June 2026 9:14:55 AM
| |
Ultimately, inevitably, multiculturalism became the notion of not supporting all cultures as equal but instead support all cultures except for the dominant culture that was the basis for the nation's wealth and common weal. It became a project to support minority cultures OVER the dominant culture both by hiding their deficiencies and exaggerating any problems with the dominant culture.
And that's not even the worst of it. Because it then behoved government to enforce this unequal treatment of the multiple cultures through legislation or social pressure prohibiting criticism of things like Islam and all sorts of distasteful minority cultural practices. Monoculturalism doesn't seek to enforce a single culture on the nation. But it does recognise that the nation's dominant culture is best for the future of the nation and that it ought to be supported. Monoculturalism simply means the abandonment of the falsity that all cultures are equal and equally valid for Australia. It is of coarse feared and rejected by generations raised on the kumbaya notions of a family of cultures living in harmony, not to mention those whose careers and standing are built around the multicultural project. But, I suspect, the majority of the nation re sick of having their culture degraded. This is not a claim that the Anglo-European culture is best. Just that it is best for Australia. If the peoples of Iran think their culture is supreme then they should very much practice it in Iran. Han culture for the Chinese. Nipponese culture for Japan. And so forth. But the notion that we have to actively allow foreign cultures to exist in and subvert Anglo-European culture in an Anglo-European nation is coming to a close. Posted by mhaze, Monday, 22 June 2026 9:15:18 AM
| |
"This is not a claim that the Anglo-European culture is best."
What matters is that the pieces are put together to make a functional civilisation. It amazes me that some see civilisations fashioned by millenia of cultural interactions and think them monocultures. Even more astounding are those who think a pile of rubble the best choice and refer to it as multiculturalism. Posted by Fester, Monday, 22 June 2026 1:25:54 PM

Hi Trumpster,
Good to see YOU back, AC and myself have been concerned with your absence, and naturally your lack of comment on the Daffy Donald debacle with Iran, that's for another discussion. You said; "But the notion that we have to actively allow foreign cultures to exist in and subvert Anglo-European culture in an Anglo-European nation is coming to a close." Is this subversion widespread or is it more localised? I note street signs etc are still in English. So what will be closed, I assume the menu down at the Golden Dragon with have to be in English, no more of those funny Chinese characters, with English subtitles. To take it a step further I assume the Pork Chow Mein will be replaced with Vegimite Toast, and the Golden Dragon will be here on in called the Golden Skippy. Chen the guy who was running the joint for the past 30 years, will be replaced by a bloke named George from Dubbo! Good stuff, totally agree! "This is not a claim that the Anglo-European culture is best. Just that it is best for Australia." In what way is it best for Australia, other than George at the Golden Skippy, with his Vegemite Toast menu, I'm not sure what's best, or on the other hand what's bad about the others? Still don't get it, do you Paul? In your simplistic understanding, multiculturalism is all about the local Chinese restaurant and kebab outlet.
You don't get the difference between a country being multicultural and a country adhering to a policy of multiculturalism. Let's see if I can make it simpler for you via one (of many) examples. Australia is a country where an estimated 5,000 cases of Female Genital Mutilation occur every year. In a country suffering under the claims that all cultures are equal, this practice is frowned upon but not suppressed. Multicultural Australia doesn't prosecute those who mutilate their young girl's genitals because of the need for 'cultural sensitivity'. In a monocultural society these practices would be called what they are - abhorrent and beyond the pale and would be effective wiped out. See the difference? No? Oh well, back to your Dog Chow Mein. mhaze,
If you think the indigenous Australians and the first fleeters who arrived on their land are both monocultures, then I would suggest that the term is a trivial one. Consider the hypothetical of the meeting taking place a few millennia earlier. Of the Brits: Yes, arriving at the destination would have been a complete fluke given the status of boat building and navigation. What language did the Brits speak? What food did they eat? What were their customs and skills? In comparison, would the indigenous Australians be observed to have changed greatly over the millennia? I think it better to describe cultures in terms of their technical development and the degree of interaction both within the culture and with other cultures. Interactive vs exclusive and developed vs undeveloped if you like. Posted by Fester, Monday, 22 June 2026 5:01:05 PM

Saw the term Unicultural somewhere on the Net. Perhaps that could solve the deliberate misinterpretations of the term Monocultural by the Leftards !
Uni would be a term used for compatible migrant vs Multi for all but mostly incompatible agenda based or economic migrants ! It would help with keeping discussions worthwhile ! Posted by Indyvidual, Monday, 22 June 2026 6:01:24 PM

Hi Trumpster,
"Australia is a country where an estimated 5,000 cases of Female Genital Mutilation occur every year." That is 100 a week, a significant number, how, and by whom was that estimated, who is doing this? Is it your estimate, I'm not saying its not true, then again it could be the result of crystal ball gazing by YOU. I would like to know where that figure came from. I have long suspected like your folk hero Daffy Donald, YOU may make up your own facts from time to time. BTW; Female genital mutilation is not something I condone. I'm not in favour of circumcision as practised by Judaism as well. Just as car stealing by white Anglo-Celtic teenagers is off limits with me, but it does appear to be part of the culture these days. I call shenanigans tosser. Show us where this information came from. All I can find is an ESTIMATE of 50k women done elsewhere but living in Australia. Hardly 5000 Australian girls a year. You are full of it. "this practice is frowned upon but not suppressed." This is definite BS. It is very illegal both in Australia and for Australian citizens anywhere. There have been plenty of convictions over the years. As I said you are full of it. Posted by mikk, Monday, 22 June 2026 8:10:08 PM

Asking those that support a change to to monoculted society, from a day to day perspective what would be the noticeable changes in Australia that would make it that way? For example its easy to say, everyone must speak English, what of the 850,000 who can't, or are not reasonable with the language, how are those people treated.
This is more of this "populist policy", without it been given any real thought, or its a lack of understanding by the promoters. Posted by Paul1405, Monday, 22 June 2026 8:44:35 PM

Fester,
"If you think the indigenous Australians and the first fleeters who arrived on their land are both monocultures, then I would suggest that the term is a trivial one." Since I specifically said the pre-1788 natives were multicultural, it might be obvious that I don't think they were monocultural. Again, its important to recognise the difference between a country being multicultural (ie having many cultures in the society) and a country practicing multiculturalism. Almost all countries on the planet are multicultural in that they house more than one culture in the realm. But very few practice multicultural-ISM (ie aim to treat all cultures in their realm as being equally valid). It hasn't worked here. It hasn't worked in the US. Britain is most definitely finding out it hasn't worked there. France also. But those who've bought the memes and slogans around 'diversity being our strength' are never going to recognise these failures. Luckily, enough Australians are now clear-headed enough to see these failures and want to move past them. Whether its done by One Nation or by the majors finally seeing the nose on their face remains up in the air. Posted by mhaze, Tuesday, 23 June 2026 8:08:48 AM

Oh, Mr I-never-provide-evidence wants evidence. Whenever Paul sees things he just doesn't want to be true, he calls for proof. Luckily, since I have more reverence for the facts than Paul, I do provide evidence.... "Advocacy groups like NoFGM Australia (led by survivor activist Khadija Gbla) estimate around 11 girls per day (approximately 3,800–4,000 per year)" "The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne has historically reported caring for 600–700 women affected by FGM annually." "Based on extrapolated numbers from before 2019, there are estimated to be over 53,000 women and children residing in Australia who have experienced FGM/C. This is accepted to be an underrepresentation, " http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S2588994X25000429 mikk seems quite vexed by this..."There have been plenty of convictions over the years." Rubbish. As far as I'm aware there has only been one case prosecuted here and it resulted in slaps across the wrist for the perpetrators. Posted by mhaze, Tuesday, 23 June 2026 8:24:01 AM

mhaze,
You describe multiculturalism as though it were engaged in a deliberate project to undermine Anglo-European culture. Yet Anglo-European culture appears to be winning comfortably: - Parliament is still Westminster. - The courts still operate under common law. - English remains dominant. - Most migrants learn English. - Most migrants consume Australian media. - Most migrants' children end up sounding Australian. The evidence seems to (or "appears to", if "seems" is still triggering for you) suggest Australian culture absorbs newcomers far more effectively than newcomers transform Australian culture. In fact, many of the biggest cultural changes over the past fifty years seem to have come from Australians themselves rather than migrants. So where is this subversion you're talking about? Hi Trumpster,
A little research does show that there an estimated 53,000 women and girls living in Australia who have undergone FGM/C, but what you are not saying is the vast majority have been done overseas and not in Australia where the practice is illegal and isolated. There is no evidence that it is a widespread practice in Australia. I would call that assertion a beat up, as all its intended to do is manipulate public opinion against a section of the migrant population. Asking again, what widespread changes do YOU want invoked to turn Australia from a multicultural society to a monocultural one. I assume the focus of One Nation would be to ban people not of some Anglo-Celtic heritage and replace them with Anglophiles. That might be easier said than done. If Australia was to stop all immigration, that would be a calamity in the long run. If Australia completely stopped immigration, the country would face a rapidly ageing population, severe labour shortages, and a significant federal budget deficit. The country would be overrun with Old Farts. The only products available in the supermarkets would be tins of 'Horlicks', boxes of 'Doz-Ezy' tabs, and packets of incontinence pads. No one working, with everyone living in the Shady Pines Retirement Home, spending their days playing Parcheesi in the mornings, and taking nanny naps in the afternoons. Is that how you see the future of Australia? A land of incontinent people playing Parcheesi! Posted by Paul1405, Tuesday, 23 June 2026 10:24:31 AM

Who's surprised that mikk chose door two? ________________________________________________________________________ "Asking again, what widespread changes do YOU want invoked to turn Australia from a multicultural society to a monocultural one." This is getting quite hilarious Paul. You either can't or won't get it. I don't want to turn Australia from a multicultural society. I've already said more times than necessary that we are multicultural, always have been, always will be. Just like almost every other nation on the planet. But what I support is turning away from multicultural-ISM ie reverse the governmental policy that claims, without evidence, that all those cultures are equally valid and should be equally supported which becomes a policy of promoting all cultures other than the one that made Australia, Australia. "A little research..." research that I showed you....you're welcome. "an estimated 53,000 women and girls living in Australia who have undergone FGM/C"... which is acknowledged to be most likely an underestimate. Others say 120,000. "but what you are not saying is the vast majority have been done overseas ".... well even if that's true, and you have no evidence for it, it doesn't obviate the fact that we have cultural groups here that support that practice. ________________________________________________________________ How other countries view multiculturalism.... http://opentranscripts.org/transcript/forbidden-research-rites-vs-rights/ Posted by mhaze, Tuesday, 23 June 2026 3:13:07 PM

Well lookie here, JD's back.
"You describe multiculturalism as though it were engaged in a deliberate project to undermine Anglo-European culture." That's your misunderstanding. Not deliberate but just a natural consequence of a failed policy doctrine. Not all cultures are equal nor equally valid. But to elevate those that are clearly inferior to equal status, others have to be dragged down. It wasn't the original aim of the policy but became its natural consequence. ("or "appears to", if "seems" is still triggering for you". Why would 'seem' be triggering?) "So where is this subversion you're talking about?" Let me count the ways (and this is a small subset of the ways...) Massacre at Bondi caused by an alien culture that was/is allowed to fester because of a fear of being called racist if its called out. Add to that the fact that the agencies that could/should have stopped it long before it happened were more concerned about people looking to defend Australian culture than those looking to change it. Regular mass marches celebrating the murder and mass rape of 1000's of Jews. Old Australian values don't celebrate the wanton murder of kids because they are the wrong race. On this very thread we see people trying very hard to excuse or minimise a truly abhorrent practice simply because its done by cultures they think they need to uplift. The appalling condition of 1/3rd of the aboriginal race vis a vis their fellow Australians is largely caused by our reluctance to point out that their destitution is the direct result of their culture, because, again, we have to pretend that their culture is equal in value to the Anglo-European culture. And so forth.... Posted by mhaze, Tuesday, 23 June 2026 3:32:24 PM

mhaze,
You've responded to a question about cultural subversion with a list of social problems. But my question wasn't whether Australia has problems. Every society has problems. My question was where the evidence is that Anglo-European culture is being displaced or subverted. Let's take your examples one by one... Bondi: Even if I accepted your characterisation of it as the product of an "alien culture", one violent individual is not evidence that Australian culture is being replaced. Gaza protests: Protest movements have existed throughout Australian history. Many participants are Australian-born. How does a protest, however objectionable you find it, demonstrate the displacement of Australian culture? FGM: FGM is illegal. It is prosecuted. It is overwhelmingly condemned by Australian society. That seems to demonstrate the dominance of Australian norms rather than their defeat. Aboriginal disadvantage: Even if I accepted your explanation for it, how does Indigenous disadvantage demonstrate the subversion of Anglo-European culture? All four examples appear to be examples of problems you dislike. None appear to be examples of Anglo-European culture losing its dominant position in Australian society. So we're back to my original question: Where is the evidence that Anglo-European culture is being displaced rather than simply confronting the same sorts of social problems that every society confronts? Hi Trumpster,
"Some proponents mistakenly cite religious doctrine as justification for banning those who would engage in FGM. Both international and Australian Islamic religious authorities have strongly condemned FGM, noting it has no basis in religious doctrine." There are some Anglo-Celtic Christians in Australia that practice polygamy, notably the Mormon religion of which there are 157,000 devotees in Australia allowing polygamy which is illegal in Australia. Could there be over 50,000 polygamists right under our noses? No room for those types in our monocultured society. Trumpster, I did some investigation as to what our Anglo-Celtic British Monoculture would be like for us. This is it! Is that YOU front right? I like your outfit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gar-h8VRs28 I found this mob of ethnics trying to impose their culture on us, how ridiculous they look, give me that above sensible British culture any day! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfcy2JBdSA0 Posted by Paul1405, Tuesday, 23 June 2026 7:50:52 PM

Doubt there has ever been a society that pursues mono-culturalism as all borrow ideas and influences from others.
Listening to Hansen is a sad reminder of the past, albeit I too think the concept of multiculturalism has many problems given that all societies are rightfully interested in cultural integration to some extent. Posted by Chris Lewis, Wednesday, 24 June 2026 9:59:37 AM

"Doubt there has ever been a society that pursues mono-culturalism ..."
There are no monocultural societies on the planet and haven't been for millennia. But, depending on how you define monoculturalism, there are plenty of such societies today and in the recent past. Recognising multiculturalism as an effort to make all cultures in the society as equal and equally valid, then monoculturalism is an effort to treat the dominant culture as superior - and there a plenty of examples of that now and in the recent past. _____________________________________________________________________ "Some proponents mistakenly cite religious doctrine as justification for banning those who would engage in FGM." Well lucky I didn't say that then, eh? _____________________________________________________________________ mikk, "I already did [prove the claim]." Rubbish. you asserted without evidence that "There have been plenty of convictions over the years [for FGM]". You have not provided any evidence for that claim but when challenged reached for the 'hate-speech' all-purpose defence. ____________________________________________________________________ "You've responded to a question about cultural subversion with a list of social problems. " We have these problems (and again these were mere examples of a much bigger issue) because of the reluctance to promote our values against the values of these other supposedly equal cultures. In a society where Anglo-European culture dominates, people don't randomly shoot women and children because they are the wrong race. It tells destitute aboriginals and aboriginal women suffer domestic violence at extraordinary levels that its mainly because of their failed culture. I've told this story before which sums it up.... "Hindu priests complained to Charles Napier (then Commander-in-Chief of British forces in India) about the prohibition of suttee by British authorities. Suttee was the custom of burning widows alive on the funeral pyre of their husbands. Napier replied: “Be it so. This burning of widows is your custom; prepare the funeral pile. But my nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive we hang them, and confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets on which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed. Let us all act according to national customs.” Posted by mhaze, Wednesday, 24 June 2026 11:09:36 AM

Well, that was a much stronger argument than your last reply to me, mhaze.
You're now describing a mechanism rather than simply listing examples. But I think you're still conflating two separate claims: - Australia should be more willing to criticise harmful cultural practices. - Anglo-European culture is being displaced. They aren't the same thing. Your Napier example is interesting because it describes a dominant culture enforcing its laws and values. Yet Australia already does precisely that: - FGM is illegal. - Forced marriage is illegal. - Domestic violence is illegal. - Terrorism is illegal. The existence of people who commit those acts doesn't demonstrate that Australian culture has been displaced. Likewise: - Racially motivated violence has occurred in Anglo-European societies throughout history. - Aboriginal disadvantage can exist without demonstrating the displacement of Anglo-European culture. - Harmful cultural practices can exist without demonstrating the displacement of Anglo-European culture. Again, the question isn't whether social problems exist. The question is whether their existence demonstrates that Anglo-European culture is losing its dominant position. Your examples demonstrate criminal behaviour, social dysfunction, cultural conflict, and policy disagreements. What they don't demonstrate is the displacement of Anglo-European institutions, laws, values or norms. So I still don't see the evidence that Anglo-European culture is being replaced. What I see is evidence that social problems continue to exist despite the continuing dominance of Anglo-European institutions, laws and norms. JD,
"So I still don't see the evidence that Anglo-European culture is being replaced" You keep on asserting that I asserted something that, despite your assertion that I asserted it, I didn't assert. You keep saying replaced. I never have. Anglo-European culture won't be replaced at least not in our lifetimes barring a catastrophic military overthrow. But it is being diminished, watered-down, having the things that are its most relevant features subtly inverted. It was once fine to tell other cultures where they were deficient. Now we cannot even tell clearly disadvantaged aboriginals that the cause is their culture. It was once verboten to resort to lethal violence to make political capital. Now we are too scared of being called racist to intercept it before deaths ensue. Sure lots of things are banned - FGM, DV etc. But when they occur in protected cultures, we are required to avert our gaze lest we offend their cultural sensibilities. There are effectively no prosecutions for FGM, but great efforts to treat the victims without looking for the perpetrators. DV is illegal but in the place where it is most prevalent - the aboriginal community - again, the root causes are papered over. The unpopularity of the multiculturalism project isn't an important issue in the great scheme of the things as regards Australia's decline. But it is symptomatic of a people who understand that they are being taken for a ride. Posted by mhaze, Wednesday, 24 June 2026 1:46:50 PM

mhaze,
Let's go through this step by step. Earlier, you argued that multiculturalism had become: "a project to support minority cultures OVER the dominant culture" and that we were being asked: "to actively allow foreign cultures to exist in and subvert Anglo-European culture in an Anglo-European nation." http://forum.onlineopinion.com.au/thread.asp?discussion=10799#376412 Those are strong claims. But the examples you've now given are: "the reluctance to promote our values" http://forum.onlineopinion.com.au/thread.asp?discussion=10799#376451 and now "we are too scared of being called racist" as well as "our reluctance to point out that their destitution is the direct result of their culture." http://forum.onlineopinion.com.au/thread.asp?discussion=10799#376454 Those are claims about people's willingness to criticise certain cultural practices. They are not examples of minority cultures being promoted over Anglo-European culture, nor do they demonstrate foreign cultures subverting Anglo-European culture. You've made two different claims. One is about cultures being promoted over Anglo-European culture. The other is about people's willingness to criticise certain cultural practices. Even your Napier example is about the willingness of a dominant culture to enforce its values. Yet Australia already prohibits FGM, forced marriage, domestic violence, and terrorism. So the issue you're describing is not whether Anglo-European values remain dominant in law, but whether they are asserted forcefully enough in public debate. That is a much narrower argument than the one you began with. Posted by John Daysh, Wednesday, 24 June 2026 3:29:13 PM

350 words is hardly sufficient to write a full treatise on a relatively complex notion, especially when you have people determined to try to read every real or perceived ambiguity in a way that furthers their claims.
We've dropped the replaced rubbish? Good. ""a project to support minority cultures OVER the dominant culture" OK try this wording and see if you can misinterpret it. A project to support minority cultures IN PREFERENCE to the dominant culture". "Those are claims about people's willingness to criticise certain cultural practices." Yes. The multiculturalism project is trying to force people to ignore the failings of other cultures so as to not offend those cultures. And not just people, but also institutions. Police who let Islamists to fly under the radar lest any action be thought of as racist. Myriad institutions treating the suffering of disadvantaged groups as a welfare issue but ignoring the causes of the suffering lest favoured cultures be offended. And increasingly there are legislative moves to outlaw offending these favoured groups.... "New offence for intentionally and publicly inciting racial hatred (up to 2 years jail). Race includes colour, nationality, ethnicity, descent, or ethno-religious background." That's in NSW. Similar laws apply in other states. 18C of the Racial Discrimination Act containing broad terms like "offend" and "insult" which chill legitimate debate. And if you think this is a new phenomena, I recall these exact same fears about the outcome of multiculturalism being expressed in a series of articles (by an author whose name escapes me) in the Nation Times in the 1980s. Posted by mhaze, Wednesday, 24 June 2026 3:59:24 PM

Why would I cling to it, mhaze?
//We've dropped the replaced rubbish? Good.// My challenge to you clearly hasn't needed the momentary carelessness in wording - which is why you're reminding us of it. Pretending it was a tactic makes you look a little panicky, I'm afraid. Anyway, I don't think we've really moved very far apart. You originally described multiculturalism as: "a project to support minority cultures OVER the dominant culture" and now, more precisely: "a project to support minority cultures IN PREFERENCE to the dominant culture." Fair enough. Doesn't make any substantial difference, though. The examples you've just provided are still examples of restrictions on criticism. For example: - institutions allegedly being reluctant to discuss cultural causes of disadvantage; - police allegedly being reluctant to act for fear of appearing racist; - hate speech legislation; - section 18C. Those are all examples of what you regard as excessive sensitivity around criticism. They are not examples of minority cultures being supported in preference to Anglo-European culture. Both of which are different propositions. If minority cultures are genuinely being supported in preference to Anglo-European culture: - Where is the evidence of that preference? - What institution has ceased to operate according to Anglo-European norms? - What law has been replaced? - What Australian value has been displaced? Because the examples you've now provided are still examples of constraints on criticism rather than evidence that minority cultures have supplanted Anglo-European culture in any meaningful sense. If the extreme were to have their way, maybe they would replace multiculturalism with a distorted monoculteral version through forced assimilation, starting with children within the education system. Forced assimilation is not new, it was practised by the British colonisers wherever they went in the world, including Australia and New Zealand. The British believed their culture was superior to that of the indigenous. They would forcefully attempt to replace the native language with English, banning and punishing the use of the native tongue in schools, public institutions and churches, encouraging native religious conversion to Anglo-Christianity, and banning of indigenous cultural practices and traditions, referring to it as "devil worship". The British would force European dress and poor European style living condition onto native people, exploiting their labour, confiscating their land, while giving children fake or distorted English names in place of their real name . For a couple of hundred years forced assimilation was successful, it destroyed native language and culture in the majority, and it created a poor, but not fully Anglicised human being.

"What Australian value has been displaced?"
" rather than evidence that minority cultures have supplanted Anglo-European" "What law has been replaced?" Oh great, we're back on the 'replaced' train!! Nowhere have I said Anglo-European culture has been replaced/displaced/supplanted (any other synonyms in your thesaurus?). I've even said that's not the aim of multiculturalism. But the urge to treat all cultures in the community as equally valid does mean that key values get watered down. Allowing women to be mistreated because we don't want to disparage aboriginal culture. Turning a blind eye to mutilation of kids because its 'their' culture. Doing culturally sensitive policing lest we be called racist. None of that means the culture has been displaced just that it is less strident, less confident and slowly less admired. Just because there's no one at the bottom of the hill yet, doesn't mean there isn't a slippery slope. Posted by mhaze, Thursday, 25 June 2026 11:48:19 AM

It's all part of a plan to wipe out the “non fact” that this land was colonised by the British. A wonderful example of Marxists being able to handle conflicting ideas in their little brains. They colonised. They invaded. Now they didn't. The newest rubbish from this particular far-Left ideologue is that white settlement did not occur. Hi Trumpster,
Another distortion from the forums number one distorter! You deserve the Pauline Hanson Liar, Liar Pants On Fire Award. "But just on deaths in custody, do you realise that the Deaths in Custody inquiry found that, proportionately FEWER aboriginals die in custody than whites?" How the addition of one word, in this case "PROPORTIONATELY" puts a whole new twist on things, and why the "?", is that because its a lie. The truth; "The commission explicitly noted that while the sheer number of non-Aboriginal deaths was higher, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were dying at a disproportionately higher rate relative to their tiny fraction of the total Australian population . The report detailed that this tragedy occurred not because Indigenous people were inherently more likely to die once in custody, but because they were arrested and incarcerated at drastically higher rates than non-Indigenous people due to systemic issues" Note the use of the word; "DISPROPORTIONATELY". BTW, I said; "Deaths in custody, more than 600 Aboriginal people have died in police custody, thanks to "sensitive policing" since the 1991 Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody." The operative word there is "SINCE" What did the RC have a crystal ball, and foretold the future did they? Posted by Paul1405, Saturday, 27 June 2026 4:03:57 PM

"DISPROPORTIONATELY"
the comparison is non-indigenous vs indigenous deaths in custody & there I'm led to believe the non-indigenous make up the greater number. The comparison is among prisoners not the population of indigenous vs non-indigenous. To use the population as a bench mark is grasping at the last straw of an argument & is actually quite vile in its use to present an untrue picture. mhaze,
Having listened to Hanson interviewed about being monocultural, her view of monoculturalism was of everyone being treated equally and being subjected to the same laws. This made sense with Magoo's attempt to make Australia an apartheid nation via the Voice referendum, and implied that two tiered justice, welfare and policing would not be practiced. I still think it an utterly silly term, especially with all the hatred directed a civilisation with a great diversity of cultural and ethnic heritage. The question mark is there because I was asking you a question. Do I need to teach you grammar along with all the other lessons I give you? These are the facts. Aboriginals get arrested in numbers that exceed their proportion in the population. That's because they commit more crimes per head than other groups. BUT once they are in police custody, they are LESS likely to die than other groups. Thems the facts although we all understand that you prefer the fable to the facts - always have, always will. I know many Aboriginals & many Aborigines & my personal experience is that the Aboriginals of mixed Aborigine heritage are generally the more troublesome. Hence, their representation in jails is reflected in the numbers. Of, course people who never lived or mixed with those groups can not comprehend that & the easiest way to hide their ignorance & prolong disharmony is to simply bleat racism !

But just on deaths in custody, do you realise that the Deaths in Custody inquiry found that, proportionately FEWER aboriginals die in custody than whites? Well no I did not realise that at all, as its not true, and there was no such finding, YOU made it up. I am only a 1/3 of the way through 'The Origins of Multiculturalism 1945-1975' by Mark Lopez, and I am already appalled by the input into the multicultural program by public servants - not elected politicians, who virtually did what they were advised to do without reference to the electorate.
Politicians are probably still working under orders from public servants on inappropriate mass immigration. Posted by ttbn, Sunday, 28 June 2026 4:29:21 PM

The hysterical claim by the Forums number one Hansonite that Australia is being swamped by "mass immigration" is not true. Australia's population growth has been at 1.3% in 2025 down from 1.5% pre-covid. migration contributes less than 1% to overall population growth percentage.

There is a mass migration & that involves a Mono Culture & another that involves a Dual Culture !
To compound their impact be it beneficial or undesirable is not in the numbers walking through the gates, it's the breeding rates once established here. This of course has resulted in a welfare system heading towards collapse for those it was originally designed for & who contributed to maintain it. Post WW2 migration was very successful, under Whitlam Labor however, it has morphed into targeting the decline of Anglo-Caucasian influence by designing it as a literal self-destruction mechanism via indoctrination in the education system. No-one can convince any thinking person that the literally useless we see walking out of schools nowadays are naturally stupid ! Posted by Indyvidual, Monday, 29 June 2026 7:42:52 AM

Multiculturalism has got King Charles 111 by the goolies; he has forgotten that he is Protector of the Faith (Church of England) and is yabbering about the UK's “Multi-faiths”.
The idiot has always been a fan of Islam, even dolling up to look like one in his younger days. His heir apparent, Prince Woke, has similar views, not a big church attender and, reportedly, not keen on being the head of the Church of England, as all preceding Monarchs have been. The Monarchy died with Queen Elizabeth. Posted by ttbn, Monday, 29 June 2026 8:53:43 AM

".... Australia's population growth has been at 1.3% in 2025 down from 1.5% pre-covid. migration contributes less than 1% to overall population growth percentage."
Paul's figures are a little iffy but the trend of declining net migration over the past few years is clear as the government reacts with fear to the growing backlash against rampant immigration. Perhaps we should call it 'The Hanson Effect'. Proof that some people can wield power without ever being IN power. Posted by mhaze, Monday, 29 June 2026 11:31:34 AM

Black deaths in custody....
"“The Royal Commission reported that Aboriginal people in custody died at about the same rate as non-Aboriginal people in custody, but the rate at which they came into custody was much higher.” "Subsequent analyses by the Australian Institute of Criminology have reinforced that Indigenous prisoners were generally no more likely — and in some later periods less likely — to die in prison custody than non-Indigenous prisoners." Hi Trumpster,
In typical gobblistic fashion you use the emotive nonsense "rampant immigration", trying to project an image of uncontrolled millions of unwanted foreigners flooding Australia, that is simply not true. Australia has a very tightly controlled immigration program, but that doesn't suit your worldview, so you have to use the emotive term "rampant". A fact, post war immigration to Australia; The modern immigration program began in earnest in 1950 under the government of your folk hero the Nazi sympathiser 'Pig Iron' Bob Menzies, although in true racists fashion Bob made sure it was a "Whites Only Policy" although "sun tanned" Southern Europeans were acceptable. In 1950 Australians population was about 8 million, in 36 years, 1986 it had doubled to 16 million, due mostly to immigration, it had grown at an annual average rate of 2%. The population in 2026 is 28 million, it was 14 million in 1976, doubling in 50 years, giving a an annual average growth rate of about 1.3%. To put that in context if Australia's average annual population growth rate had remained at 2%, 'Pig Iron' Bob's preferred amount, today's population would be 36 million. Trumpster, you are so good at propaganda, why don't you make a short film portraying migrants as rats wearing burqa's, maybe Pauline can lend YOU hers. Yes, a rat portrayal of migrants, something similar worked well for Old Joe back in your good old days Posted by Paul1405, Monday, 29 June 2026 12:39:01 PM

"uncontrolled millions of unwanted foreigners flooding Australia, that is simply not true."
Oh so the things I DIDN'T say aren't true. Good to know. Even the government you bend over forwards to defend, have said in the past that immigration was out of control and that they needed to bring in reforms to get it under control. "Albanese has acknowledged high levels but attributes the surge to inherited temporary factors (e.g., backlog clearance, international students/workers returning) and claims the government is regaining control through policy changes." Let me help you with the logic thingie that you struggle with.... if you need to "regain control" that means it was out of control. Yes I know that's above your level of understanding, so you'll just have to trust me. The fact is that both major parties were fine with letting immigration run wild until people like Hanson started pushing back and gaining support.....'The Hanson Effect'. Hi Trumpster,
When, and please quote, did anyone in the Labor government say that during their current term in office that ; "immigration was out of control and that they needed to bring in reforms to get it under control" I agree the government did inherit temporary factors associated with covid caused a surge in immigration in the 2 years following covid, people who had been waiting to migrate, and others returning, and those factors were being addressed. The recent 45% decline in immigration numbers testifies to that fact. You say; "letting immigration run wild" Australia has always had a controlled immigration policy. What you fail to mention is in 2020/21 there was net loss of 85,000 people from Australia. Posted by Paul1405, Monday, 29 June 2026 3:57:53 PM

Quotes from Albo....
“The truth is that the migration system that we inherited was broken. There were over a million people waiting for visas in this country...” “A migration system that he [previous government] presided over that was broken is something that we've been busy repairing. ... We are fixing a problem that we inherited.” “Our migration system is broken and we have a plan to fix it.” Its funny that Paul feels the need to leap to the defence of the ALP. He always does it and then claims to not be a partisan for them. The immigration system was and still is broken. But both major parties are now SAYING they want to fix it and that's due to 'The Hanson Effect'. Posted by mhaze, Tuesday, 30 June 2026 9:06:28 AM

Hi Trumpster,
Addressing your misconception; "leap to the defence of the ALP. He always does it and then claims to not be a partisan for them." On this forum I have been critical of the ALP on the military nonsense concerning AUKUS/ANZUS, nuk subs and all that rubbish. Their support of US/Israel in the war with Palestine/Iran. Critical of the ALP's failure to properly overhaul the tax system, particularly where it pertains to the Big End Of Town. Generally as a progressive socialist, I often prefer Labors agenda than that of the Coalition, as the Coalition are more the Noalition, and have FA policy on everything. You claim the government said migration was "out of control", now you claim they said "broken" there is a difference between "out of control" and "broken" Take the Goggomobil YOU drive, ripping down Bulli Pass and pumping the breaks with no response is "out of control" Driving your Goggomobil into the front yard of your shack, and hearing a squeal coming from the breaks, but they are still working, indicates something might be "broken", and tomorrow YOU can take it to the Goofy the mechanic and he can fix it for YOU. DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE? Me thinks not, but we try! Posted by Paul1405, Tuesday, 30 June 2026 11:35:04 AM

Immigration to Australia is only out of control in relation to incompatible migrants with incompatible cultural heritage.
It does look to the outside observer that there's a glitch in the filtering of migrants & this could be due to officers simply not doing their job or being actually bought off or even threatened. One aspect of immigration is certain , too many incompatible migrants are already established here. One just has to watch the News reports on so many violent demonstrations. Also, the sickening nastiness of Left Wing parasites towards more restrained conservative elements is nothing short of evil ! I can't help the feeling that a social time bomb is already ticking simply because decent folk have reached frustration saturation point & even the Law has turned against them. Can Labor solve the problems they helped create ? Judging by the mentality on display among their supporters, it looks highly unlikely ! Posted by Indyvidual, Tuesday, 30 June 2026 12:23:37 PM

Broken v. out of control.

Every idea has a flip side. When you implement multiculturalism you are implementing cultural cleansing of the local culture. Smart politicians and activist's are expert at re-framing. Smart isn't the same as wise. Identity is important, so cultures need to protect their identity from other identities that might want to dominate. All societies need hierarchy, even animal societies, there is also a hierarchy of societies- where advanced ones set the example for others. Nietzsche said that the problem with the envy code is it leads to poverty rather than production. We shouldn't be afraid of excellence, because even though they compete with us, they help us too. Marxist academics and activists want to drown excellence in a sea of mediocrity, (this is what multiculturalism is) except when it is themselves to be drowned.

Katherine Deves, lawyer and one time Liberal Party candidate for Warringah, champion for women, writes about ‘The hidden costs of incompatible immigration’ in this week's Spectator Australia. If Australia is to have social cohesion and safety for women, we need to have difficult but necessary conversations about the “real-world impacts of our out-of-control immigration policy”. Not just debates that descend into name-calling and accusations of ‘bigotry’ and ‘racism’.
Like many Australians, Deves looks at the UK Pakistani sex grooming, rapes and child abuse that is under discussion again, after a report published this month, on the failure and cowardice of UK authorities who failed in their duty to protect girls and young women, Naive and/or arrogant Australians need to take note, and not fool themselves that the same things won't occur here. She believes the same thing occurring here is inevitable. In Western countries, individuals of “foreign backgrounds”, especially certain Middle Eastern, North African, and Afghan origins account for a disproportionate share of rape convictions despite being a small number. In these countries, and probably coming to Australia, women's lives become “smaller”, with many now avoiding certain suburbs, public transport and festivals. Already, foreign sex offenders are escaping deportation from Australia. Not all cultures are equal. Some are a threat to Australian women and girls. Posted by ttbn, Tuesday, 30 June 2026 3:06:43 PM

Hi Trumpster,
As we know comprehension is not your strong point, never has been. How can you say "BROKEN" and "OUT OF CONTROL" are one in the same. YOU want to suggest that Labor is flooding Australia with migrants so you claimed the Labor government said migration was "OUT OF CONTROL", when in fact as per your quotes Albo said...Previous government...migration system....BROKEN...we are fixing it. Unless you can provide a quote from a Labor Government source the PM, or a responsible Minister saying; "OUT OF CONTROL" I can only conclude you are lying again as per usual. Maybe YOU can invent a quote with Albo saying "AHHHH! Golly gosh! God help us, the country is being flooded with undesirable NON-WHITES, millions are pouring in daily, its OUT OF CONTROL, I'm hopeless, I don't know what to do, please vote for the Lovely Pauline to save us! Hi Again Trumpster,

"YOU want to suggest that Labor is flooding Australia with migrants...."
You see Paul, this is where you stray into the inane. You think I'm attacking your beloved ALP and therefore you instinctively leap to their defence as you always do. But if you read my posts with a degree of clarity (giggle!!) you'd see that I'm not laying the blame just on your beloved ALP, but on the two majors. I said previously "The fact is that both major parties were fine with letting immigration run wild". But Paul, in his infantile rage to protect the ALP didn't see that. Protect the ALP is all he knows and that's why he then wants to see a difference in a system being broken and a system that is out of control. They are the same thing but he needs to find a semantic difference because he needs to find some way, any way, no matter how inane, to protect the ALP. All major parties are to blame here as I previously said, even though that went over Paul's head. (Seeing things in a non-partisan way is an alien concept for Paul). They are now all trying to back-track on that policy and it all due to 'the Hanson Effect'. Posted by mhaze, Wednesday, 1 July 2026 11:34:08 AM

Hi Trumpster,
As someone who suffers from mythomaniac syndrome, its easy to understand why YOU support Donald, who is likewise afflicted. Its a common sickness with far right fanatics, lying at every opportunity. Unfortunately medical science is yet to come up with any kind of treatment for your complaint. Why do you feel the need to lie as YOU do? Were YOU mistreated in some way in your formative years, and now feel the need to exert yourself by spreading fabrications? A qualified nut doctor may be of some assistance, possibly help YOU to get a grip on reality! Maybe not, too far gone. Posted by Paul1405, Wednesday, 1 July 2026 8:11:19 PM

Paul1405 said- "If the extreme were to have their way, maybe they would replace multiculturalism with a distorted monoculteral version through forced assimilation, starting with children within the education system. "
Isn't that what the Woke Marxist Labor Party and other "workers" parties around the world have done- "they've replaced local-culture with multi-culture a distorted multicultural version through forced local assimilation, starting with children within the education system". The "workers parties" don't help the "workers", they aren't workers they are "w*nk*r talkers". The problem with "workers of the world unite" is that the academics end up being in charge, and the workers get less opportunity to participate than they get under capitalism. Plato was wrong, philosophers shouldn't become rulers because they aren't practical enough, they are dreamy abstractionist's without an understanding of the real world, maybe workers should become philosophers, but not Marxist philosophers. The problem with idealist's is they believe the ideal. Workers understand that sometimes the hammer doesn't hit the nail, it hits your thumb, sometimes the nail bends, sometimes you just have to use a screw. An idealist will just keep on using the hammer. That's a difference between a Traditionalist and the Uniparty idealist's- the Traditionalist's remember what they are fighting for. Workers need businesses because that's where the work is. If workers go to war against the businesses then eventually there's no work, and their families struggle, all boats rise on the tide, if workers help the businesses to rise, and the businesses help the workers to rise, everyone wins. As Moses brought down from the mountain- don't screw your neighbour- or you'll fudge up the community. Indians and Chinese ethnicities are not minorities in the world, they are majorities- dominant populations of the world- they shouldn't be able to use rules designed for minorities to justify their dominance- and more we a fools to accept it Posted by Canem Malum, Thursday, 2 July 2026 2:42:37 AM

Paul spends who knows how many posts trying to defend the ALP from a supposed attack on their immigration policy.
I finally set him straight by pointing out that I wasn't criticising just the ALP but all the major parties who have created an immigration system badly in need of repair. I provided quotes from this very thread!! Paul suddenly realises he's been headed down the garden path in trying to defend the ALP from an accusation that was never made. So what does Paul do when he realises he's screwed up yet again? Well he does what he always does and releases his inner 7 year old to throw a nonsensical tantrum (see his last deranged post). maze,
He's very likely employed as an immigration officer & still needs to get more of his friends & family here, hence his vehement defending of the mess that is inevitably developing. No-one with an ounce of integrity would behave as he does ! btw. As an indicator of the level of stupidity at hand now, an ABC reporter spoke with a tourist about a boat load of illegals coming ashore near Weipa a few days ago. The tourist said he thought it odd for a couple of vehicles hanging around until about a dozen men got ashore & went straight to vehicles & took off. The tourist then told the whole World that "lucky it was School holidays & tourists were around to see what's going on". That should not have been broadcast as it now gives the people smugglers another opportunity to work on a better schedule. Posted by Indyvidual, Thursday, 2 July 2026 9:32:46 AM

Hi Trumpster,
I do believe YOU suffer from Mythomaniac Syndrome, a sickness where people like YOU, and your folk hero Daffy Donald, have to compulsively lie. The danger is the liar, thinks what he is saying is true, can't tell fact from fiction. Nothing to do with 7 year old's, although in your case the onset of the disease was most likely evident when YOU were first able to speak at the age of 10. YOU obviously lied by saying Albanese had said immigration was "OUT OF CONTROL", when he never said that, he descried it as "BROKEN". Until recently there was bipartisan support on immigration between Labor and the Noalition, but since the Noalition has been spooked by the bigoted racists from One Nation they have tried to win back red necked support by lunging so far to the right on immigration. Hi Indy, I did read about a group of Chinese nationals, illegally entering Australia on a boat at Pennefather Beach (where's that!), about 50 kilometres north of Weipa on the Cape Yorke Peninsula. With our massive coast line of nearly 60,000 Km, and its remoteness I'm not surprised at that. They went to Weipa, some went to the local pub, and others to Woolies, they were arrested by Boarder Force Officers, in the food court area, eating what appeared to be 'Chicko Rolls' and drinking cappuccino's Posted by Paul1405, Thursday, 2 July 2026 10:09:08 AM

I think Paul1405 for clarification is talking about "Border Force Officers" rather than "Boarder Force Officers" that operate in enforcing rules out at Childers Palace.

"I do believe YOU suffer from Mythomaniac Syndrome, a sickness where people like YOU, and your folk hero Daffy Donald, have to compulsively lie."
Oh do grow up. Wouldn't it be easier to just admit you were wrong when you thought I was attacking the ALP alone rather than throw childish tantrums. "Until recently there was bipartisan support on immigration between Labor and the Noalition," Noalition?? So childish. Nonetheless there remains bipartisanship on immigration. Both majors now agree that the numbers of immigrants that were let in while the system was out of control is/was too high and needs to be reined in. They realised this, or were forced to adopt these policies only after One Nation changed the national conversation. Its called 'The Hanson Effect'. Posted by mhaze, Thursday, 2 July 2026 3:00:02 PM

Hi Trumpster,
Please get a grip of yourself, or better still let something go. I was simply correcting your obvious attempt at deception, claiming Albo had said immigration was "OUT OF CONTROL", when he actually said it was "BROKEN". I didn't comment on any bipartisan support for immigration, which I acknowledge there has been in the past, but no longer exists as the Noalition tries to claw back redneck support. I know they have lost your vote. A front bencher believes all the woes of her party can be fixed with a name change, so NOALITION being the three right wing parties together with no policies seems a good name, don't YOU agree? Hi Trumpster,
I never mentioned the bipartisan support for immigration, as it has been a well established arrangement on policy between the two major parties since WWII. That was until recently when the Noalition tried to out One Nation, One Nation on immigration, all in a desperate attempt to claw back redneck support it had perceived through polls as losing, because of its old bipartisan immigration policy. BTW, there are many in the Liberal Party who are very uneasy with the lunge to the ultra right by Taylor, under the direction of Abbott, yep yesterdays failure the Mad Monk himself is back pulling the party strings. These members who are uneasy with this new direction Abbott and Taylor are wanting to take, have some silly idea that the Liberal Party should be "LIBERAL". The issue I had with YOU, was your lying distortion by claiming Albanese had said; Immigration was "OUT OF CONTROL", when in fact he had said immigration was "BROKEN" something entirely different, and YOU obligingly supplied the Albanese quotes that proved YOU were lying. Lets move on, and I'll forgive YOU for distorting the truth. Posted by Paul1405, Friday, 3 July 2026 3:48:37 PM

"Lets move on..."
Paul, realising he's on a hiding to nothing, wants to change the subject. "I never mentioned the bipartisan support for immigration..." Except you did mention it. I provided the quotes. Just denying what you obviously said, isn't a good look. But very Paul. And as I pointed out, there remains bipartisanship among the major parties. They all now agree that immigration is too high and needs to be reined in. What changed?....the Hanson Effect. How is saying the system is out of control different to saying its broken? Just because you want to assert a semantic difference doesn't make it so Posted by mhaze, Saturday, 4 July 2026 8:51:57 AM

Hi Trumpster,
I would take "OUT OF CONTROL" as meaning massive numbers of people are turning up unannounced, and Immigration and Boarder Force are powerless to do anything about it, they are just flooding in. That is certainly not the case, Australia has never lost control of immigration, BROKEN means to me that the system in place is not working as desired, and needs to be adjusted. The Covid episode where in 2020/21 immigration was a net loss of 88,500, the net loss was reversed, and compensated for in the following years. I believe as a wee little one you never won at anything, lost your marbles, every time YOU played. To make YOU feel like a winner, and not the loser YOU are. I'll concede that you never said 'OUT OF CONTROL" you only said 'BROKEN", and YOU know everything these is to know on the subject of immigration, Pig Iron Bob and Vikings. Hows that, feel better now? I got up early to watch our multicultural Socceroos go down to Egypt. The Lovely Pauline must be beside herself losing to a mob from a Muslim country. As Pauline said; "There is no such thing as a good Muslim"! Posted by Paul1405, Saturday, 4 July 2026 9:18:54 AM

"I would take "OUT OF CONTROL" as meaning...."
"BROKEN means to me..." Oh so now we are back to an understanding that this is mere semantics. So when you asserted in your childish manner that I'd lied, what you meant is that I used words that were different to the words you'd use to describe the same situation. That is, you misinterpreted my point and then, because of the misinterpretation, called it a lie. Posted by mhaze, Saturday, 4 July 2026 5:45:37 PM

In 2007, the Howard government scrapped the multiculturalism ministership and scrapped the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs in favour of a renamed Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
One Nation vows to do the same, in the unlikely event of their becoming the government. However, the Coalition, needing One Nation to get them back into government, could do the same thing Howard did - if they have the balls. With the support of One Nation. Taken to the extreme, and One Nation is an extreme political party in the Australian context, this kind of "policy", as well as other One Nation discriminatory policies against minorities, could have serious implications for many Australians.
