I agree with your above post, recent immigration has been too high, and the government recognises that, and has been working successful to reduce the overall number, not quicker enough for some peoples liking. The greatest benefit from migration are skilled immigrants, our "enemies" like New Zealand absolutely hate it. For example about 50% of doctors in Australia were born overseas, and more importantly 30% were educated overseas. That applies in many professions and trades, these people are gold for Australia. Over 70% of Australia’s permanent Migration Program visas are allocated to the Skill stream.

Hanson likes to project a negative image of migrants, a stereotype of the "Afghan refugee", the radical plotting to inflict a wave of terror on the rest of us.

Something of interest is if the criminality of those born in Australia, as measured by the percentage prison population, was reduced to the level of the migrant population, the number of prisons and police required could be reduced by 20% to 30%.

I don't care if there were 60.999 ethnicities or races. I know history you fool. Australia was monocultural then and for 200 years. What people eat, wear, or do in the privacy of their own homes, whatever their accents or looks, has nothing to do with a country's overall culture. Monoculture was the official state then, and for 200 years until it was changed by a Liberal government.

I just watched another activist dick yapping about all the food we would not have without multiculturalism. He hasn't heard about imports, obviously, and he's not old enough to know how long ago immigrants were introducing their particular cuisines into Australia - without multiculturalism. Greek, Italian, Chinese eateries were in the country town I lived in over 60 years ago, with people to go with them. There were even Muslims in some areas, all living in harmony, publicly respecting and joining the host culture, doing their own things in the privacy of their own homes - like everyone else - without multiculturalism.

I've not heard a single monoculturalist calling for the closure in Australia of the vast array of ethnic restaurants and cafes, nor the importing of exotic foods. Nor that they shouldn't speak a different language among themselves, that dwindled away with the oldies who passed on.
