Foxy,
Why such drivel about something that no longer applies, why not present something of substance relevant to today ?

"Not that that will worry most posters, who spend all day in their underpants viewing the world on a screen, waiting for someone to put up a topic so that they can argue pointlessly"

Must be ttbn, put up 6 posts on the one topic in less than 24 hours 2 days ago, is the most prolific poster on the forum, averaging almost 5 posts a day for the past 9 years. No time to change out of his underpants, no need down there at the Shady Pines Retirement Home for Old Farts.

"They work at jobs" unlike these Old Farts with their snouts well and truly stuck in the taxpayer trough, living on the never, never, never never work, never never pay. If they had a working life they failed to provide for themselves in retirement. These guys are now the mill-stones of society.

Now the idiot whose parents were born in Europe is trying to get on the poor-me, minority multicultural bandwagon, when her culture is European, the same as the rest of the majority.

She apparently has a mania to be different so she can whine about it. That fits in with being the only female on OLO most of the time. Most other women would be horrified by her.

The woman fits with the general belief that the migrants are generally OK, but the first generation born here are not.

She is obnoxious. Her own threads are filled up with her non-stop nagging, and posts from people who disagree with everything she says. Her only allies are a Green, and a bloke who doesn't even live here, and has taken Banjo Patterson's name in vain.

As for her ignorant remark about farmers and labour, it was the Albanese government that scrapped the rural visas, and stopped backpackers from harvesting.

I acknowledge my ancestors who settled this country and made it what it is. I honour the men who fought in two world wars to keep us free. All before any imports arrived here.

While the politicians and their puppeteers are rotting the country with every culture on earth, no matter how inappropriate to a Western country like Australia, there have been no tradespeople immigrating to help with the extra housing needed.

Boofheads is a word not too impolite to describe the people overseeing the ridiculous number of people lowering Australia's GDP per capita via the immigration of people who can barely speak enough English to drive a taxi.

Australia is still short of most employment skills, despite the mass influx of suffocating DEI types.

"'If it wasn't for immigration Australia would have remained a cultural backwater."

Gotta agree with Foxy there... those immigrants who arrived here between 1788 and 1850 most certainly improved the cultural standing of the country. Nothing improves the cultural outlook of a nation like moving out of the stone age.

I've mentioned this on these pages many times over the years, but we need to recognise the difference between the country being multicultural and the country having multiculturalism as a policy.

We have people here from many cultures and have had for at least two centuries and arguably much longer than that. So we are multicultural.

But we have a policy of multiculturism, instituted in the last 50 years which says that we need to treat all cultures as equal and of equal value to the nation. That's been a disaster for this country and every country that went down that path
