I was going to do a full fisking on AC's logic but then realised that calling it logic was a complete misnomer.

Somehow thinking Putin's a dictator means you must support Ukraine!! Of course the corollary is that, if you don't support Ukraine you have to excuse Putin in all his maniacal practices.

Just to make it easier for poor AC - I prefer a system where the people get to choose their leaders even if the choice isn't terribly appealing rather than a system where opposing the leadership is a death sentence.

Apart from anything else, systems where the people choose the leader is vastly more beneficial for the people than the alternative in terms of economic welfare. But that will go over AC's head.
