For the most part, your last post to me was a good, thoughtful, and well-measured response.

However, I find highly regrettable your adoption of the “replacement theory” of right-wing extremists and terrorists that inevitably recalls the horrific Christchurch mosque shootings in New Zealand in 2019 in which 51 people were ruthlessly slaughtered.

The perpetrator’s manifesto at the time proclaimed support for the far-right "Great Replacement" conspiracy theory of Renaud Camus, the French extreme right political activist, and cited Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian neo-Nazi terrorist who massacred 77 young people, and Dylann Roof, the US white supremacist, neo-Nazi murderer, as inspirations.

The other caveat I have regarding your post is that we have freely chosen the politicians who govern us here in Australia. That is how our democracy works.

This means that we only have ourselves to blame if we consider they are not acting in our best interests.

I watched this really good discussion last night, and would recommend it to others.
Jill Stein is a third party anti-war U.S. Presidential candidate.
She says both Democrats and Republicans conspire to keep her off the ballot.
Also I find Michael Hudson (her foreign policy advisor) to be extremely intelligent.

Maybe what we need is to get rid of the '2-Party Preferred' system?

Thinking that a people bear you malice is the basis of any conflict, as is Russian propaganda arguing that western nations controlled by the great Satan America are out to destroy Russia via a proxy war started by a puppet government in Ukraine. It's also evident that the flames of the Palestinian conflict are fanned with endemic propaganda urging them to exterminate Jews as a civil and religious duty.

Whatever your politics, if you think yourself above hatred then you are probably the most dangerous.

I take an alternative view of the conflict in Ukraine and believe it had more to do with Ukrainians wanting democracy and removing Russia's puppet president in 2013.

He need not worry about Russia: despite the sanctions against the country, they are doing OK. They are not being colonised by undesirables, as Australia is, and their economic growth is better than Australia's.
