I know a lot of people of different racial heritage who agree that the racists always use race as an excuse topic for arguing instead of attitude !

Of course there are problems, serious problems,
especially in Europe as mhaze points out.

I just feel that statistics should be handled with
care and without demonizing every immigrant from
certain backgrounds because they're not all
criminals by extension.

Most individual migrants are not criminals. Part of
the problem in Europe may be that most are young men.
They are already economically disenfranchised at home,
And, they may come from a culture where women are not
seen as equals.

Still, the high proportions of rape (many go unreported)
should trigger questions on how to increase the amount
of checks performed on people and how to provide information,
education, and advice about social norms regarding rape.

As in most things, the Australian political class and many Australians ignore the freely available information coming from Europe on the problems there relating to colonisation by people indifferent to, or hostile to, the Western values of Judeo-Christianity, democracy and rule of law.

The events occurring there will come here eventually. The West is getting weaker; its enemies are getting stronger and bolder because the West is allowing them in, and not defending its own values, let alone insisting that immigrants assimilate and adopt the mores of the country that they wanted to come to. Instead, they attack and censor their own people for complaining.

We have already seen an elderly woman bashed by illegal aliens, stabbing of a Christian Bishop, and regular hate speech sermons that are unlawful but given a pass by the Albanese government. There are illegal aliens who are rapists, paedophiles, and all the worst sorts of criminals freely roaming the streets.

Then there's worse anti- Semitism since the Holocaust, BROUGHT HERE BY FOREIGNERS, and lapped up and enjoyed by wackjob locals.

Vlaardingerbroek bravely and rightly talks about the “Replacement” by the ruling elites of “white, Christian populations with immigrants from different cultures” in Western countries. “56 per cent of the Dutch capital city of Amsterdam’s population are migrants; while other major cities, such as The Hague and Rotterdam, are almost 60 per cent migrants.”

Although this replacement is dismissed by its perpetrators as ‘far right conspiracy theory’, the facts are in plain view.

That's what I get told by former school mates yet for some inexplicable reason Australians either don't want to hear it or hope that by ignoring it the same situation can be avoided here !
Australian media does not show anything on that situation.

That's very true. Indeed, taking any random sample of potential immigrants from any part of the world you might name, its fair to assume that the vast majority are going to be law-abiding, anxious to succeed economically and open to change.

But...

Its also fair to assume that, depending on the region and the peoples you choose your random sample from, some are going to have an extremely small number of criminals and other groups a significantly higher number of criminals. (That some of the crimes they commit may not be crimes in their home culture is really beside the point).

Australia, or any other western country (and remember its only western countries these people want to go to), aren't obligated to take immigrants and particularly aren't obligated to take immigrants from certain regions.

Assuming we want and need immigrants, we need to understand that taking people from, say, Ukraine is a very different proposition to taking them from a MENA (Middle East/North Africa) region. Both will contain some criminals. But one will contain a much higher portion of people who will not respect our traditions, will be more misogynist, and will be more likely to revert to violence when frustrated with our way of life. Not all. Not most. But a higher portion.

Do we want that? I don't.

Take immigrants but take from groups who have much higher proportions that will integrate.

Europe, and to some extent, the US have taken large numbers from those groups who are less likely to integrate. And they are paying the price for their leaders folly. But as usual the people paying the price weren't the people who made the calamitous decisions.

We have so far avoided those problems because we and our leaders made better decisions, the most consequential being "Stop the Boats". Thank you Mr Abbott.
