If you want to give away your equal rights to democratically elected representative voices in Government Vote "Yes" for the Voice and give unelected aboriginal voices power over your elected representative voices.

I'm not sure I fully understand the legal or constitutional rights of our first nation people, or our rights, for that matter however, but what I do know from my own empirical experience, together with many weeks of relieving duties in most areas of the State, much of it being the traditional stamping grounds of our indigenous people. I can only repeat what I've seen and learned from first-hand experience -

Most of them only wish to be left alone and have ample tucker, smokes, and booze if they can get it. Booze & drugs are where most of the trouble arises. That is an aside. Three square meals a day and have no interference from those who possess powers that might negatively affect their lifestyle(s). Above everything else, they do not want to have any hassles with officialdom or local police. They tend to fear being locked up, preferring instead to submit to tribal justice if possible rather than confront European jurisprudence.

They do NOT like being manipulated by do-gooders who claim to speak for them. And it's true; they'd much prefer just sitting under the shade of a tree without a care in the world. And, above all...being left alone!

It looks to me that the supporters of the Voice have lost the ability to see Right from Wrong !

Foxy,

All your links that claim to show how the voice works contain only homilies as to the effect of the voice and nothing on its actual workings. The devil is in the details, none of which Labor will release as it is sure to spook voters.

The reality is that the voice has a great chance of going pear-shaped in a spectacular way as did its first version. If it is legislated it can be fixed, in the constitution is will be a millstone around our children's necks.
