The YES crowd is doing exactly what the Democrat crowd has been doing, stuffing it up for all by promising to do away with all our problems which is them !

"The moral choice is ours to make."
Its not a moral choice....its a political choice. Its just that those who can't make the political argument want to turn it into a moral issue. But even if all the utopian assertions about what the Voice will and won't do for so-called 'first peoples' were true, it still doesn't explain why that Voice needs to be ensconced in the constitution. The government has the power RIGHT NOW to legislate a Voice (which they'll have to do after the referendum anyway). When you understand why they want it in the constitution rather than merely legislated by the current parliament, then you'll understand why it shouldn't be in the constitution. Well said. It is a political choice. The Left talking about 'morals' is hilarious Posted by ttbn, Saturday, 1 July 2023 9:48:37 AM

When you understand aboriginal culture and law, all items found on aboriginal land have legitimate use as food or to be used. There are no property boundaries as in British culture, as all identified tribal lands and what is found on it is available to them. Incarceration for petty theft and break and enter violates boundaries in our society but not in aboriginal culture. All these laws must go from being enforced on aboriginal youth. Because homes, farms and business are carried out on aboriginal land for which rent must be paid to the tribal owners.
"Always was always will be aboriginal lands". "Pay the Rent" http://australian.museum/learn/first-nations/always-will-be-aboriginal-land/ http://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-04-30/aboriginal-phrase-always-was-always-will-be-trademark-attempt/100107464 [Pay the Rent] represents a number calculating how much money the Australian government owes Aboriginal people — and that's just for the rent of the place. Because that is still our country. It always was, always will be Aboriginal land," Bell says. STOLEN LAND We live, work and play on land that was forcibly taken from Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people. On this stolen land, systems & institutions have been built that are structured to exclude and oppress. NO TREATY There has been no Treaty with any First Nations Groups in so-called “Australia”. As yet, there has been no commitment from the government to justice, restitution or systemic change. COLONISATION CONTINUES The effects of colonisation continue to this day. We could wait for years for the government to begin this work. But we don’t want to just sit and wait. ACT NOW We could wait for years for the government to begin this work. But we don’t want to just sit and wait. We want to act now in solidarity with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people. Posted by Josephus, Saturday, 1 July 2023 9:51:11 AM

Currently every person identified as aboriginal has $46,000 p/a of NIAA money allocated and that is not enough. They want it and reparations enshrined in the constitution.
Property envy is part of the westernized educated aboriginals. Posted by Josephus, Saturday, 1 July 2023 10:11:53 AM
