We have too many activists in politicts so the Government will reflect that diversity of cnflict, and will be intruding into personal lives.

politics may not save Australia - but the
people will. People will only tolerate so much. Posted by Foxy, Wednesday, 29 December 2021 9:27:06 PM

ttbn,
<<Oh, and don't forget that Morrison has let the state premiers piddle all over him on Covid.>> I agree. There is some sort of pact in place to not upset the premiers too much. This is due to the fact from Scott Morrison's viewpoint and other Liberal members, that if we have predominately Liberal State/Territory Premiers in power and a future Labor PM, then these Liberal Premiers can pour whatever they want all over a Federal Labor Government - and make their life a mess. Labor would take the same attitude. If anything though it has lead to a Federal Parliament having little to no say on COVID-19 matters, (like antigen tests) when Federal Parliament should have had more say on policies here. I mean it's a national issue. For example at the moment some states have antigen tests for free, with others you pay. "FINALLY: Victoria And NSW Are Making Rapid Antigen Tests Free" http://www.pedestrian.tv/news/rapid-antigen-tests-free/ <<Politics will not save Australia.>> With the above to go by, yes I agree. This long standing tradition must be overthrown, be put to an end or undergo major reform. Posted by NathanJ, Wednesday, 29 December 2021 9:41:28 PM

The best leaders fail when all they have is a motley gang of incompetent bureaucrats & advisors & unruly Bogans among the constituents & substandard mentality by those who want to see them fail !

Nathan,
Labor would indeed "take the same attitude"; that's why I don't really care who wins the next election. While I do care what happens to Australia, whoever is on the government benches won't change what has already happened, is happening now, and what will happen in the future. We simply do not have people of integrity, intelligence and ability in our political class. The same goes for most voters, who are very clearly getting the politicians they deserve. We seem to be heading into a new Dark Age. Posted by ttbn, Thursday, 30 December 2021 8:00:07 AM
