as to what people felt about the vaccines - trying to find out what their preferences were.
Foxy,
Unless they actually pay for a jab they should just be glad to get one at all. Pfizer is extremely difficult to keep at -70° so, those whingers & whiners should put their money where their mouth is ! It's damned bloody difficult enough to navigate past all the opposition sabotage & treachery, let alone getting the vials by the millions. This is no time for being choosey !
I had both AZ shots because I was too old for Pfizer. I'm just grateful I was on the list. Some conspiracy mongers say the Govt wants to kill us oldies off with AZ. I'd rather think they need to keep us longer to keep common sense alive !

Dear Individual,

«Unless they actually pay for a jab they should just be glad to get one at all.»

Well that's exactly what I have been pleading the government - to allow me to pay for my vaccine as I am unwilling to accept free gifts from the tax-payer. There is currently no way to pay and no way to buy my own vaccine elsewhere, even if I were a billionaire. I am still awaiting their reply.

I’m a healthy 85 year old and have been been jabbed all my life with vaccines which I feel have contributed to my good health. These have included diptheria, tetnus, polio, phneumoccal, cholera, yellow fever, typhoid, and of course the annual flu shot. Together with several I received in the army. I really don’t understand the prevarication and fear of a new vaccine that comes along in several forms that can save your life and others. There are masses of extreme medical examples that might have a detrimental effect once administered. The birth control pill and blood clots are two that immediately come to mind which have no relationship to Covid at all and are far more common I understand with serious consequences occasionally, There are also side effects to all the vaccinations I have undertaken which I also understand can result in rare cases of death.
I have already had my first AstraZeneca and can’t wait to have my second this week. To me it’s a no-brainer. If everyone followed my example I feel sure the number of lives saved would be far higher than those caught by the virus by refusing or delaying such an easy and simple and free procedure. I, together with everyone I know who as undertaken the Covid jab, has had absolutely no noticeable effect at all.

Hi Foxy,

Why can't we in Australia have a choice? Cause Stuff-Up Morrison put all our eggs in the AstraZenica basket, hoping it would win him an early election. Now AZ is pretty well gone down the gurgler with only limited usefulness and Morrison and co are making a complete stuff up of the vaccine roll-out, your choice is no choice at all.

My son, his partner and two small children live in a 2 bed unit in Sydney. They got a message by E-mail yesterday, not from NSW Health but from, wait for it, from the Strata Manager that "someone" has tested positive to Covid-19 in their units, one of three unit blocks. Rang the SM this morning, as far as they know "someone will contact you about what to do" as of 5.15pm this arvo no "someone" has made any contact at all. Son went off to work on afternoon shift. I said, maybe the "someone" is from NSW Health and they are too sick from the virus to call.

Dear Paul,

That's a bit of a worry about your son.

Perhaps he and his family should go and get tested?

I wouldn't wait.

Let us know how things pan out.

Dear Snake,

«I, together with everyone I know who as undertaken the Covid jab, has had absolutely no noticeable effect at all.»

Not yet noticeable, but you will notice it once sufficient quantities of mRNA vaccines will be available and you are prevented from having them to upgrade your immunity because you are told that you already received AstraZenica. In the long run, once borders are opened and the virus roams freely in the community, you will end up with a higher risk of catching COVID, becoming ill, very ill or even dying of it.

If I had the option of taking AstraZenica privately, really privately, paying for it and not having it registered in the government's data-base, so that I don't lose my chance to get Pfizer or Moderna when available, then I would probably take it despite the considerable risk.

Dear Paul,

«Now AZ is pretty well gone down the gurgler»

Well not completely, it can and should be sent to PNG as soon as it is manufactured, they cannot afford any better there. The more people vaccinated around the world, the less the chance of new nasty variants.
