the developers installing renewables are not placing them near the
best points on the grid. It seems that the solar in some locations
is producing more than the grid at that point is designed to handle.
That indicates that a lot of money will have to be spent on the grid.
The grid needs to be able to feed the maximum power from anywhere to
anywhere on an intermittent generation system.
I would have thought the grid engineers would tell them where they
can install the solar/wind farm and where they couldn't. It seems not.
