Hi Individual,

If I do what you suggest and stop wearing rose-coloured
glasses I certainly will see a whole new world out
there.

Apparently according to an article in "Science Daily" Adam
Anderson tells us of a new study from the University of
Toronto that provides the first direct evidence that our
mood literally changes the way our visual system filters
our perception experience suggesting that seeing the world
through rose-coloured glasses is biological reality.

Specifically the study shows that when in a positive mood our
visual cortex takes in more information while negative
moods result in tunnel vision.

The study appears in the "Journal of Neuroscience.

individual,

You will never get any sense out of Mother Russia. There is no point in arguing with the woman. Without the ABC she would be struck dumb; no thoughts of her own. A sock puppet.

Hi Individual,

Mediocre minds usually dismiss anything which reaches
beyond their own understanding.
(Albert Einstein).

individual,

See what I mean. Now she's quoting Einstein! Not an original thought in her. A ventriloquist's dummy. She would be stuffed without someone else to do her thinking for her; hence the crazed, desperate defence of the ABC, which gives her daily instructions.

Hi Individual,

People use quotes to reinforce their ideas. Quotes are
more powerful then simply repeating yourself in
different words. Einstein was not a mediocre mind and
he did encounter opposition from mediocre minds. Hence
quoting him to get an emotional response was not
only appropriate but quite fun!

As for the ABC?

Recent events such as the bushfire disaster have only
shown why our national broadcaster is so vital.

"It would be a strategic nightmare. We would lack the most
important information to help us in a time of need."
said a survivor from Narooma.

This is a sobering reminder of the role played by the
ABC during times of crisis.
