But hey, Sky News is more entertainment rather than
news. There you will find your climate change
deniers, covid deniers, Trump supporters, the anti ABC and
SBS mob, and the like.

Foxy we don't pay their salaries either, so they are entitled to say what they please.

With the ridiculous money we pay B & C graders at the ABC we should be able to dictate which side of the bed they sleep on.

You need to be very thick to compare the taxpayer-funded ABC with SkyNews, which has to sink or swim on its own merits. No free billion dollar handouts for them every year.

There's plenty on the web about the ABC's obligations,
and the difference between opinion, analysis, and
what it is required to do as a public broadcaster.
I suggest a read to clarify a few things.

The problem with the "obligations", which are well known and often talked about, is that they are continually breached. Whereas the new head of the BBC clearly intends to make his employees toe the line and remain neutral, as is apt for a publicly funded organisation, successive heads of the ABC have never done this; nor has any Australian government insisted that the corporation adheres to its charter: particularly the current one, whose leader seems intent on winning ABC approval, knowing that just not being Malcolm Turnbull or Bill Shorten might not get him over the line next time.
