ttbn,
Personally I think it's too late. Australia has a Chinese future and there's no turning back the tide whether it comes direct from China or via NZ. Here's Australia's future, lap it up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri4eDdOXd6s Posted by Mr Opinion, Sunday, 31 January 2021 11:01:22 AM

Village Idiot,
So, you're the one waving the Chinese flag from your wall ? Just remember that quite a few pro-fascist traitors were shot or hanged after the War. Joe Posted by loudmouth2, Sunday, 31 January 2021 11:27:25 AM

Dear Aidan,
«War with China would threaten millions of innocent lives, but would accomplish nothing good that couldn't be far more easily accomplished via peaceful means.» War with China is already a reality. Fortunately for now it is a cold war and while we hope that it stays like this in order to save these millions, Si vis pacem, para bellum! Peaceful means did not save Tibet. Peaceful means cannot save Taiwan. Peaceful means would not save Australia either. --- Dear Paul, «Trade being the chosen weapon of war» Only if you take China's recent attack against Australia separately. Trade was not their chosen weapon against Tibet. Trade was not their chosen weapon against China's own people, including in Tienanmen square. Trade was not their chosen weapon against the Uyghur people. Trade was not their chosen weapon against Hong Kong. Trade is not their chosen weapon against Japan and Taiwan. Trade will not remain China's only weapon against Australia for long. «New Zealand... not wanting to be seen as Australia is, a flunky, ever at the ready to do the bidding of Uncle Sam.» I am not an Uncle-Sam fan either, but your contempt for Uncle-Sam, rightful as it may be, seems to blind you to the existential danger from China that Australia is now facing. What to do, we might feel disgusted by that Uncle-Sam, but for now, without him and without our own nukes, we would have long been, each Australian of whatever political persuasion (perhaps except this forum's traitor), either China's slaves or dead, nor would this forum be allowed to exist. --- Dear Joe, «Just remember that quite a few pro-fascist traitors were shot or hanged after the War.» Excellent response - but traitors do not deserve a response. The opiniated Hillbilly says: " Australia has a Chinese future and there's no turning back the tide whether it comes direct from China or via NZ."
I'm starting to think that he is a barker for the CCP, conditioning us to think that an 'Asian Australia' is inevitable and we should lie back and accept it. Australia decides who comes here and who leaves. The biggest problems coming from NZ are not Asians but Kiwis themselves, many of whom are sent back to NZ, to much whining from Ardern. Perhaps real threat is really from NZ trying to get rid of their criminals. Posted by ttbn, Sunday, 31 January 2021 2:16:21 PM

I think you have seen the movie '1984' a few too many times.
Technocracy is a bullsh!t word invented by some bullsh!t engineer who liked to think of himself as being a social theorist.
If you and ttbn and others of your ilk like using it then go for it. Don't let me stand in your way if it makes you happy thinking you're some sort of sociologist.
Maybe you can be the world's first technosociologist. There happy now.
