Paul1405,

The China-Australia Free Trade Agreement signed up by Abbott was for a five year term which ended July 2000.

The Chinese are well within their rights to reject further imports from Australia.

But they probably would have continued accepting imports if Soot & Boyz hadn't decided it would be fun and a very Trump-ish thing to do to poke a stick at the angry beast China.

Now we have the situation where Australia wants to sign up to another 5 year C-AFTA but can't because China won't engage peacefully with a country it now sees as an enemy!

And it is all the fault of the Morrison government! They are the ones who got China offside. So let Soot & Boyz fix the problem.

Mr Opinion's 10 point plan for placating the Chinese is still on the table. A little bit of grovelling on one's hands and knees to Xi can't be that bad. Come on Soot, it's all for a good cause.

Mr. Opinion'

Even with all your non-stop ranting about China, you are blind to the fact that China is a prime example of a technocracy. You think technocracy has something to do with technology!

Did you even go to school? All your lies about those degrees are a cover for your lack of education, aren't they. Admit it. Cleanse your soul. You have serious problems. Get help. You won't find it here. Stalking other posters as you do is not a cure for your problems. You are not a well man.

ttbn,

Everyone thinks that the term technocracy has something to do with technology. Techno-logy v Techno-cracy (also Techno-crat). Do you see it?

Why do you call China a technocracy? What makes it a technocracy?

PS You got me ttbn. You're right, Just like you, I don't have four degrees and I have never been to a university. There happy now?

In terms of 5 eyes, NZ is merely an eye-lash - of no real importance. Anyway, there's been rumours aplenty over the past few years that the US and other 5 eyes members have been quietly sidelining NZ intelligence due to their perceived unreliability.

The real problem with 5 eyes and, even more so, with the Quad is the US. We have to remember that the US is now under a president and regime that is variously controlled by or is in thrall to the CCP.

We know from the Hunter Biden revelations that the Biden clan used 'the big guy's' position to profit from and take disguised bribes from the CCP and CCP linked organisations. What we know about this is likely a mere fraction of what the CCP knows.
We also know that the Democratic leadership is also captured by the CCP. Just one example is that the congressional leader in charge of the Trump impeachment was groomed for three years by a Chinese honey-pot spy. We have Democrat leaders who employed Chinese spies for decades. We have Democrat operatives taking secret payments from the CCP.

When Stalin's operatives penetrated the White House, the FBI, the Manhatten Project and the CIA, it was a disaster for the west.

This is orders of magnitude worse than that.

Assume 5 Eyes is dead.
Assume the Quad is dead.
Assume that India and Japan are now working to make their own arrangements.

In 1942 Australia was in dire straits when Singapore. This is now the equivalent of Britain handling over it over and offering no resistance. We are in severe peril and don't know it yet. Taiwan is finding it out as China probes its defences knowing there'll be no serious push back from the Xiden administration.

NZ's surrender to China and Chinese money is a mere pinprick during the death by a thousand cuts.

Thanks, Ttbn.

Misop, I can't say I'm surprised. Work your way up through TAFE course, you might get there.

China and technocracy: are its vast communication and surveillance systems based solely on pigeons and personal oversight ? Or on the most modern forms of cyber-tech ?

Are its armed forces furnished with the latest high-tech weapons, or are they still using bows and arrows and lances, and fighting on horseback ?

China = technocracy - i.e. absolute power through the comprehensive use of the latest technology.

But no doubt you'll find dome pissy defect in that rough definition.

mhaze,

You are right. NZ is an unimportant: a bit light Kangaroo Island of the bottom of SA. NZ is anti-American and a disgrace to ANZUS.

All of which makes it a danger to Australia because, like PNG it is wonderfully place geographically for China. It is not just Ardern's mouth we have to watch out for.

I wonder if Mr. Opinion is a worried about NZ migrants in Australia as he is about the Chinese ones.
