Nuance would never be a word used to describe your contribution. Nup, black or white for Paul. Pointing out that Blake wasn't a saint isn't the same as excusing his shooting.

Foxy had gone along with the information from those she relies on to tell her what to think to attempt to portrait Blake as a 'family man'. Just some bloke out with his kids who gets shot by those racist cops, donchaknow.

Pointing out that that was far from the truth isn't the same as saying the shooting was justified. We don't have enough information at this time to make a judgement.

But for Paul, pointing out that Blake was a bastard must mean that you think its ok to shoot him. That either/or thinking is so ingrained in Paul's world that he assumes all think in that childish fashion.
