There is no debate as to the rightfulness of the anti-Vietnam War protests of the 1960's and 70's. As a participant myself in those protests I believed that the war was wrong, as all wars are, and Australia had no business being involved. The violence I personally witnessed at the Sydney moratoriums was in every case carried out by the NSW Police at the behest of conservative politicians. The tactic of the coppers was to form lines, with batons at the ready, then they would remove their police badges to conceal their identity, and on command wade into the demonstrators, with some relish by some of the pigs I must say, indiscriminately assaulting mostly young people and making so called arrests. One of the the most disgusting things was the coppers were often helped in arrest making by honorary constables from the Sydney Nazi brigade.

More on Foxy's 'family man' shot by police....
The police were there because the 'family man' was outside his ex-girlfriend's house having previously invaded that house and sexually assaulted her. The 'family man' had a knife and resisted attempts to get him to leave. http://www.dailywire.com/news/kenosha-police-union-offers-new-details-on-jacob-blakes-alleged-actions-attacked-police-tried-to-steal-car-was-armed OTOH, the sexual assault was in the form of digitally raping the women. And Foxy has previously told us that that's OK so long as its done by the right type of person on the correct side of politics. Just ask Tara Reade. Posted by mhaze, Sunday, 30 August 2020 9:55:06 AM

mhaze,
Well at least he will not walk into his ex-girlfriends house again and rape her, steal her car and take money from her account again. He might have to settle down get a desk job and support his children. Posted by Josephus, Sunday, 30 August 2020 10:41:03 AM

mhaze,
When you have to resort to your current tactics - you really come across as the loser that we all suspected you were all along. Poor show really - you demean yourself - and show yourself to be who you really are. Sad, so sad. Posted by Foxy, Sunday, 30 August 2020 1:37:32 PM

Hi Foxy,
Reading what some of the forums 'Usual Suspects' have posted as "evidence" as to Jacob Blake's guilt on unrelated matters and therefore justification for the police shooting Blake seven times in the back, no need for a defence when charged, the coppers will deliver all the necessary evidence through the prosecution, saves a lot of court time that way. I don't doubt there would have been a massive amount of bad karma between Blake and his girlfriend, there often is when it comes to relationship breakdowns. I hope the coppers involved get a fair hearing, not what our lads are putting forward for Jacob Blake. Posted by Paul1405, Sunday, 30 August 2020 2:16:03 PM

No, the first time I ever visited Flinders would have been around 1978 to enrol as a mature student, long after the last anti-War demos in 1973.
However, I did drive over the hills that Flinders was to be built on some years earlier, on Australia Day 1965. The hills were very concave, so as we drove further down the hill, the slope increased; so we all carefully got out on the up-side and patiently waited for the car to tip over and roll down the hill. It didn't happen, so the driver cautiously got back in while the rest of us weighted the car on the up-side and it slowly was moved back to the road at the top of the hill. Universities can be exciting places.
