rEPRUSu,
Yeah, I recall the big Goaf years when he & grubby Grasby gave full Pension to 10 year migrants to go back to their home countries.
Now, because of these shonks' squandering the funds & emptying the coffers in return for votes many of us have to literally fight to get a pension.
Next door, the bloke has never really worked, goes to taxpayer funded rehab whenever he's short of money, gets rent assistance & is staunch Labor to the point of getting almost physical in a debate.
I know of quite a lot of Australian blue collar jockeys who live in Asian countries because they believe they can't afford a decent life here. Thanks to the pension funds having been rolled into the Public Service Super fund.
I am one of the lucky ones as I never drank as our resident mutt suggests & despite having been robbed several times & received no compensation via insurance I got through & I am enjoying a good life on the Old Age pension. I believe I'm more deserving of the Pension than the countless number of ex bureaucrats on their 75-100 Grand Super for ruining many families in their "working" years.

Your right Mr O, with the industry very much controlled by big developers with political clout. Shoddy work, going belly up, outrageous costs, the can too often being carried by the consumer. Look at the state of housing in NSW particularly Sydney, lack of planning, urban sprawl, lack of infrastructure, outrageous costs. No wonder Harry T is about the richest man in Australia.

Paul1405,

What do you think of the two cases I outlined?

Mr O, you highlight what is systemic in a corrupt system. The consumer may think justice will be served (in their favour) only to be disapointed and way out of pocket.

Indy, you should be thankful for socialism, it keeps you in welfare and out of the gutter. And also gets you two too many schooners down at gods waiting room. BTW what year did you flee South Africa?

individual and Paul1405,

As a sociologist I will be preparing a study of the sort of systemic problems that I have been outlining and will be disseminating it to the public.

I'm looking for information to include in my study.

What do you think of the Council that gave a letter to the builder that the builder was able to use to get Fair Trading to rescind a rectification order for the builder to replace the non-compliant house frames. The builder actually put in an application to the Tribunal for the owner to pay the cost of the non-complying frames as well as (and get this!) pay the cost of replacing the frames. And get this! The Tribunal suggested that the owner should apologise to the builder for causing trouble for the builder.
