Paul1405,
The Opposition's been in the job for years at hundreds of millions & has done sfa !
I can't handle Scott Cam's persona & whenever he comes on I switch Channel. Bad move by the Govt putting him on.

Indy, you bang on about sticking kids into your boot camp, but not concerned for kids who would like just the opportunity of a start at a decent job as an apprentice. Instead $347,000 for a bloke who is all mouth. In 6 months SC has attended the official launch with ScumO', and did one 'Facebook' post. I ask you, is that value for taxpayer money? Then $250 million of tax money on rorts is typical of this ScumO' mob.

Paul1405,
Well, how much are you costing us then ? I'm now getting an Old Age Pension for which I have paid for out of every single Dollar I've ever earned. You ? My guess is that you're getting A Superannuation handsomely beefed up by our Tax Dollars. After all, didn't the former Pension fund get rolled over into Public Service Super ?
Yes, this Govt made a stupid move with this Scott Cam mutt !

Indy, you guess wrong I don't receive 1c in government benefit, certainly no PS pension. Unlike you no taxpayer welfare. If you paid tax in the past it was used in the past for your benefit, defence, dole payments, health care etc. Now today's taxpayers like me meet your welfare payment today. Sad how you must have piss it up against the wall and didn't provide for your old age. You did say the last welfare increase wasn't enough to buy you another schooner.

INDY mate, some years ago, a bit past the g.f.c. there was something of an exodus of pensioners from australia and the scum in canberra clamped down on the rules visa vi portability of pension income but there's still a bit of room to move.

You can still live a handsome middle class life style on your pension alone, so long as your smart and interface with and learn the local economy.

For the price of a standard take away $15 meal here, you can enjoy a glass of wine and a wagyu steak on the beach there.

You can employ staff for less than $10 a day to cook and clean for you.

You've done your time. You've worked your life. You've paid your ..ing rip off taxes. It's your turn now for a bit of well deserved R&R.

The weather isn't to everyones taste but most adapt and you can always go up the mountain otherwise.

however, a fool and their money are quickly parted in Asia so you need to do your homework. One way to tackle the issue is go up for a holiday or 3, get to know the locals, get involved with the strong ex-pat communities. Take your time and don't presume anything, and have no illusion that the Indos in their own environment are more savvy and cunning than the proverbial sh!t house rat. But it can be done.

My last old mate that I lost, Big Tony

(ex South Fremantle footy player and ex aus military)

would often point out some of the common values of the ex-pat community. And that is, in their twilight years, be #@$%'ed if they would ever come back here to this sh!t hole to be locked up once they could no longer look after themselves.

Rather, they'd shack up with a local who would live and die for them, taking care of all of their needs knowing that when the time came that they would be secure into the future on account of inheriting what was left. The locals call that a "Win-Win" solution.

Oh NO!

Looks like my interesting expose on project home builders and the social parasites that feed off the home building industry viz., the Tribunals, the Councils, etc., has been hijacked by The Forum's OLD FARTS CLUB.
