The latest news report; PAUL PARKER has not been sacked by the RFS.

ttbn, have you heard if it was that obnoxious ScumO' who tried to get the decent, selfless, volunteer fire fighter PAUL PARKER sacked? It would be the kind of low act ScumO' would stoop to. PAUL PARKER is a hero in the eyes of the majority of Aussies! Three cheers for PAUL PARKER for telling the big you know what, what he thinks of him.

I'm getting third hard facts on this:
I'm told by friends he can't be sacked because he was a volunteer.
But that he was stood down for being a 'drunk'.

My friends opinions lie a little closer to ttbns opinion than mine.
I wonder if they both watch SKY channel.
My friends do.

But I personally still think the guys a hero, had every right to say what he did and deserves all the free beer he can drink, especially now the fires are all out or under control.

My opinion is that every single Aussie that did not help fight the fires owes a debt of gratitude to everyone that did.
- So that's where my position lies.

I couldn't care less if the guys a drunk, (though it would be a concern if his drinking put others lives in danger during the firefighting)
And even more important was that he was a volunteer, and wasn't even taking payment for his community efforts.
This contrasts with ScoMo who wasn't fighting any fires, he was off on holiday whist getting paid a FAT government salary.

I don't care what anyone says to character assassinate the man.
He was on the front line, fought the fires and for that I'm grateful.
He's no less a hero than other firefighters who died risking their lives.

Paul,

So it would appear that the foul mouthed fireman was not fired nor was there any effort to have him fired and the whole episode was complete BS fabricated by the left whingers as a beat up on Morrison.

Paul and SR were two of the suckers to swallow the story hook, line and stinker. Of course if he had quoted the bible, they would happily have had him sacked.

Unlike you Shadow, I get the facts from the ABC and SMH, unlike you I don't rely on crap reports in the Murdoch gutter press 'The Daily Telecrap' put out by 'Beat Up'Bolt.

BTW a couple of years back, you claimed there was a Murdoch news report that an arrest was imminent in the 'Beat Up'Bolt case. It made you look as stupid as always on the forum!

Shadow Minister,

Let's guess: God told you that it was fabricated.

You religious types won't stop at anything.

Now he's a drunk: fighting fires and driving a fire truck drunk.

Whether or not that is true, there is no way he is a hero. Heroes are few, and far between. Firefighters, professionals or volunteers, are not heroes. Sportspeople are not heroes. Death by falling branch doesn't make the victim a hero because he was involved in firefighting.

The misuse of the word hero is indicative of our lowering standards and manipulation of language to suit the mood. And it's an insult to the very, very few real heroes who have ever lived.

And, what's this crap about Morrison winning or not winning the next election? One person doesn't win or lose an election. The Coalition needs to win a majority of seats to win, and they can do that, or not, without Morrison, whose fate lies only with the voters in Cook. Only a moron would vote against a good candidate in his own electorate just because he didn't like the party's leader. But, of course, we are not short of morons here, so I wouldn't put money on any result. But, most voters are likely to have views much different from some of the mad posters here, thankfully. It's a known fact that the more people share their views within a small group, the more extreme and crazy they become.
