The article in question where Paul Parker asked the channel 7 crew to pass the message on to ScoMo to "F" himself, occurred after a December 10th appearance on Channel 7 where the "PM" (and I use the term loosely) said -
"Prime Minister Scott Morrison has rejected paying volunteer firefighters battling an unprecedented number of bushfires up and down the eastern seaboard, claiming that they "want to be out there".
The prime minister was speaking at a press conference to spruik his revamped religious freedom legislation.
As he addressed reporters on Tuesday afternoon, about 2700 firefighters were tackling 85 fires, 42 of which were uncontrolled. And that was just NSW."
Interviewed on the the breakfast show he said and I quote- "We are constantly looking at ways we can better facilitate the volunteer effort but to professionalise that, at that scale, is not a matter that has previously been accepted and is not a matter that's currently under consideration by the government," he said.

The payment to volunteers which you suggest was agreed to on Dec 29 after immense pressure from the opposition and public. In short Scomo was trying to save face. A day late and a dollar short on this one, he deserves all the crapolla the public sees fit to heap on him. Disgusting that he expected volunteers to put their lives on the line without remuneration for weeks at a time while he was enjoying cocktails in Hawaii.
