Dear Josephus,
You wrote; “SteeleRedux, Could you please identify the rorts involving 100s of millions of taxpayer dollars. This group of sports grants did not involve 100,000,000s as you claim.” Since you have politely asked I will answer; “It was the multi-million-dollar sports program without any rules — except to win with a cash splash. No guidelines. No tender process. No application form. Some recipients didn't know they'd even been given money until they read about it in the local paper. And at $150 million, it's worth more than the scandal-plagued community sports grants program that cost the ministerial career of former Nationals deputy leader Bridget McKenzie.” “And rather than being a nationwide program aimed at encouraging women in sport — as Prime Minister Scott Morrison and then-sports minister Senator McKenzie claimed — the great majority of funding has been pledged towards swimming pools in just 11 Coalition-held seats.” https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-02-07/government-cash-splash-swimming-pools/11924850 So that is pretty well 250 million between just two rorts. That qualifies as 100s of millions of dollars in my book. Does it in yours? Now pay attention mate, you might learn something. Dear Paul, Yes the look on Ebbetz face when the Brain Boyd from the National Audit Office told him 43% of the funded applications were ineligible was priceless. http://youtu.be/3GzceEtJ1R0?t=114 This was also a good summation; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGm1B9E6UTw Posted by SteeleRedux, Monday, 17 February 2020 10:43:04 PM

Paul,
Why do you have to be such an atrocious liar? You well know that I never claimed that an arrest was imminent and that you made that up. Also unlike the ABC and SMH gutter press, the Australian never printed the factually incorrect story about the fireman. Mr 0, Once again your arts based critical thinking fails you as I am an atheist. Notably the left whinge is happy to strip Folau of his livelihood for quoting the bible but fiercely supports a fireman who screams abuse. I do, however, believe in free speech, so while I don't agree with what Folau espouses I believe that he has the right to say what he believes in without being persecuted. Shadow Minister,
I find it very hard to believe that you are an atheist but I'll give you a chance to demonstrate it. Define why it is that you do not believe in God. Posted by Mr Opinion, Tuesday, 18 February 2020 8:44:57 AM

Let's just agree that some posters hate Scott Morrison and like aggressive, foul-mouthed thugs and yobbos (or anyone who shares their hatred of Morrison) and other posters are better bred and more circumspect.

ttbn,
The biggest yobbo I have ever run across wears a bright Hawaii shirt and gives the thumbs up and says "How good is that!" Now that's a yobbo! Posted by Mr Opinion, Tuesday, 18 February 2020 10:06:06 AM

- Including the ones I support.
Josephus,
Do you understand that 'Winning doesn't count if you cheat'?
"So far, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has pointed to the auditor's finding that all recipients were "eligible" and it was delivering "much-needed grants to local communities".
"The auditor-general found that there were no ineligible projects that were funded and that the rules were followed," he said earlier this week.
Whilst these things above may be true,
(That's a 'move along nothing to see here' directive btw)
In my mind the government cheated to win.
Now were going to have these kinds of political payoffs, and sports grants designed to buy the votes of certain electorates, where other safe electorates won't receive anything.
The grants should go where they are needed full-stop.
Not where they are needed provided it wins electorates.
