I can't really predict what the US President
will be forced to do. I doubt if he will
resign on his own or to cut a deal to save any
of his family members. He's not that kind of a bloke.
He's out for himself - first and foremost.
And will only cut a deal to save himself. The rest
can go jump. So he's in for the long haul.
The only thing would be if the American people vote
him out at the next election. But I'd hate to
predict the chances of that happening.

Still who knows?

You're right regarding Mr Trump and doing time.

I've been doing so more reading and Mueller made a
point to note that the US President does "not have
immunity after he leaves office. "even if he is forced
out of office through impeachment."

"A possible remedy through impeachment for abuses of
power would not substitute for potential criminal
liability after a President leaves office," Mueller wrote.

The Washington Post reported that 370 federal prosecutors
who worked in both Republican and Democratic Administrations
have signed a statement arguing that Trump would have
been charged with obstruction of justice were he not the
President.

Though Trump's crimes are obvious working in his favour
is the five year statute of limitations for campaign finance
obstruction of justice charges. Meaning he'll be in the
clear if he wins re-election next November.

If he loses - Trump will be just as open to legal jeopardy
as his personal lawyer and others have been.

One can only hope that this crook, will get the cumupance
that he so rightly deserves. And America will hopefully
try to become Great Again.
