I wish you could make up your mind, either having a horse running around in an enclosure with people is a bad idea or it's not. If it's a bad idea, then trying to shut the horse in the enclosure with the people is a stupid and highly irresponsible action.

However, these greenie activists have shown themselves to be stupid and irresponsible, and one shouldn't expect anything else from them.

When a group of people drive thousands of kilometres into someone else's district, with the express intention of shutting down the major industry in the area, & putting the locals out of work, I reckon you would call that a pretty aggressive act. This was no peaceful protest, but an attack on the welfare of the people of that district.

That they were treated so gently is a great recommendation for the people who's lives they wanted to destroy. I was amazed that people who came into a town with positive intent to destroy the livelihood of the people of that town were treated so gently.

I would suggest to Bob & his rent a crowd that they do not repeat this type of action. Their treatment next time might be more in keeping with what an aggressive act deserves.

Not only aggressive - bloody stupid. But, I suppose the feral protestors realise that the people whose lives they are trying to ruin are much more tolerant and better people than they are. I'd like to see the scum up against riot police with rubber bullets and water canon. Nice people are not going to put these creeps where they belong.

Rather rubbish attempt to re-frame an argument addressing the rider to one just focusing on the horse. If it were a riderless horse then yes. But it wasn't was it. It had a rider in control of it who could have dismounted at any time rather than crashing through the gate and injuring someone.

But to paraphrase you.

What tripe. They were there to protest something that isn't even in operation yet. They weren't attempting to shut down an industry but rather to halt a particular mine from going ahead.

Leave another thread, something in me shouts do not retaliate!
