Philip S.,

I've known some of the posters on this forum for
decades - people who have been supporters of me during
some of the most difficult times in my life - from
my battles with bowel cancer to my experience with
severe depression,
to the loss of beloved family members - to dealing with
a mother and her dementia.

Lamb for dinner tonight? Your choice - I'd recommend
pork for you.

Don't mind if I do, both are good.

Philip S.,

Many people don't have an appetite for pork.
After all pigs do wallow in mud and if
nothing else is available they'll wallow in
their own urine - giving rise to the notion
that they are dirty animals.

But still, for some today's pig is tomorrows
bacon.

Foxy,

"Many people don't have an appetite for pork"

Count me among them, I hate the stuff.
Never did like it but when a mate and I were upon the top of a mountain manning a relay radio station and couldn't be relieved and were out of tucker a chopper flew over and dropped us some tinned stuff; turned out to be pommy bacon (90% fat).
We couldn't light a fire, (security and no wood anyway), so we had to eat it cold, put me off it forever except for a few times in Ireland where the sugar cured bacon was 90% meat.

I do like Audi's small bottled pork sausages though.
