I gather that there are fake marriage syndicates
in India but that this particular fake marriage
case - is not common because it deals with a brother and
a sister. I'm not sure what our government can do
about documents being presented in visa applications
that later turn out to be fraudulent. These people
should of course be deported once caught. We are
fortunate that the Indian government alerted us and are
pursuing this case. I wonder how many fake marriages
we have in this country? I imagine that on closer
examination - there would be quite a few - and from
various countries, not just India. As I recently found out
there are scammers everyone.

Apparently this scam took place in 2012.
