Philip,

Paul is out of control. I don't take any notice of him. It's difficult to believe that any sane person could make such as spectacle of himself. Quite pitiful, but there it is.

As I said Phil, criminal activity needs to be delt with as it rightly should be. If sham marriage is used to circumvent Australian immigration laws then the authorities need to act accordingly. A single well publicised instance does not call for a wholesale suspension of immigration. The ttbn call of "The only solution is to freeze all immigration and clean up the mess before returning to a sensible policy of needs-only immigration." That is an over the top, over reaction, trying to use an isolated instance to justify a draconian measure you favour.

What about an answer to the real problem of illegal immigration, the over 64,000 over stayers who arrived by plane and never left. Far more of a problem that sham marriages.

This is the serious issue for the likes of Corny Banana and his Conservative Party, but no its not even canvased. Much rather something that will get the blood boiling in the bigots, haters and red necks. Phil is your blood boiling over this one.

BTW, where did I imply this thread should not have been allowed. I see the thread for what it is. If Muslim bashing threads, of which I do not have a problem, were not allowed, half of what you start would not get to see the light of day. I take all threads as they come, yours included. In all my years on OLO I can only recall having one discussion knocked back, and that was within the last year, and it concerned a certain member of the Catholic clergy.

Paul1405 Not a very good retort, you totally ignore your racism.

Quote "Phil is your blood boiling over this one. " No it doesn't, if it did you would not receive a reply because for that to happen the person would be dead.

Quote "BTW, where did I imply this thread should not have been allowed." Your sheer arrogance at attacking the author, or in my case the source of a article by implication you do not think the article should be here.

Get it through your head any article no matter where it is from or who puts it on here is allowed if approved by the moderator.

runner,

"I don't know that Is Mise but this is a common practice with adherents of Islam. Marrying cousins etc is common practice. If you travel to Pakistan as you claim to then you would know this."

Marrying cousins and other close kin is common practice in India among Hindus, Muslims and Christians and the reason is not a lack of suitable potential partners within one's own group but rather to keep the wealth within the family and because of large families being spread over a number of years uncles marry nieces and aunts and vice versa.
My wife is still frowned upon by some members of her extended family because she refused to consider their sons as marriage partners.

I never claimed to have travelled to Pakistan, in fact, in that benighted country I am persona non grata.

“Punjub = turban head = Muslim... lets chuck this up on OLO for some good old fashioned Mussy bashing”.

That's just one example of Paul's ignorant mania. There are very few Muslims in the Punjab (not ‘Punjub’) .

Sikhs wear turbans, not Muslims.

I referred to Muslims only as a very small minority, along Christians and Jain's living in the Punjab. I did not mentioned the religion of the two subjects of this thread. They are Indians and visa rorters. Their religion, if they have one, is totally irrelevant.

Anyone calling my thread “Mussy bashing” is simply a stupid idiot, seething with hatred.

And just to clear up something else for some posters, 'siblings' are brothers and sisters; people sharing the same parents. They are NOT cousins. The brother and sister, siblings, stole their cousin's ID. She is not a sibling of theirs. I again must refer to the low reading age of many Australians and their poor understanding of their own language.
