You speak of lies, and your questions are concerning lies. So let me try and teach you the truth. God hates lies. He gave both strong words and stronger actions to false prophets that lied in His name, or lied in the name of a false god leading the people away from both God and the truth.

But where your wrong is saying that the bible is lying about God. In this you have been wrong throughout the entire topic. Instead of asking about God's actions as if they are lies, ask why would God do this, or why would God do that. Or even why would He allow this, or allow that. When it comes down to it we live in a world that is full of evil, pain, suffering, and sorrow. There is great goodness in our world too, but not enough to say that pain does not exist, sorrow is not real, or that evil is fake like the bogeyman, told to scare children. No these things do exist. In fact I don't think it would be in error to call our world broken because of all that happens in it.

So the question comes down to why would God do this, or to allow that. These questions, unless answered by God Himself, are unanswerable because they are out of our authority to answer questions them. The flood is explained as an active action of God, not a passive thing that He allowed. And it is also explained that this was done because of how wicked mankind had become. This is a rare instance where the act is explained out for why God did what He did. The same act and explaination was given concerning the Caananites that lived in the land before Israel conquered the land. Many other parts God acted without an explaination, so we are left to find out why He did what He did, or to trust His judgment in spite of not knowing why.

To an indivual, their actions are their own and God's consquences are only to them. But who is alone in the would to be only an individual? We are from indivual to nation a people who hold different authorities and hirarichies of rulership. Parents authority over their children. Husbands over their wives (as unpopular as that is that's the line of authority described in the bible). Judges, generals, priests, and kings all holding an authority over the people they are responsible for.

And to all of these they point to God being the authority over all of us. Be loyal and respectful to your parents. Do the same to your rulers. To everyone who holds authority over you, even to those who are abusive with their power. God's only exception to these are if anyone demands from you something contrary to what God demands from you.

But to the leaders. Those in authority? They answer to God. And those consquences are bigger then just on an indivual level. God will press His judgment on Pharaoh with both a consquence to him and to his subjects.

Without a bigger explaination for why (either passively or actively) children die today, my best answer and most educated guess is that they are a consquence on the world as a whole. A symptom of a greater issue that our world is broken and breaking, because of our wickedness, and our turning away from God.

If you want the truth and not lies, then I say to you to seek God. You say you believe in Him and you position that everything you count as evil and wrong are lies told about God speak about your view of Him being Good. Then again I say seek God. Do not trust your own judgment to say what is a lie and what isn't, nor should you take my word for it. If you are serious and do actually believe in God, then pray for Him to hear you and ask to be lead to the truth and to not be lead into lies.

After all there is an issue you need to confront. It is one many an atheist have given me. If God is good, why is there evil in the world? I have my answers and potential figurings on the matter. But even if I am wrong, I still trust God. He is Good and I know this from my own life. I'm guessing from your take and persuasive stand on who God is, that you think God is good too, and that you can trust Him. Perhaps it's from your near death experience? Perhaps it is from that among many other elements.

But the bottom line is that in spite of God's goodness, there was s still evil in the world. Children die, are kidnapped, or are abused in too many occurances to not notice. Seek God. Pray. If you eventually find the bible to be trustworthy then search it too, to find what God says on the things written in it. If not, (or at least not yet). Then still hold on to praying. Seeking a Him to direct you.
