Josephus you are wrong in everything and have no cred whatsoever!
You must have read every verse in every English version of the Bible over 50 times by now...lmao So if the ancients interpreted all historical events, and fictional events also, as being done by God or Gods then all the religions are definitely lying about it being God's word and inerrant...lmao You may eventually realise how badly you just shot yourself in the foot!...lmao Now get back to reading every verse in every English translation of the Bible...lmao Josephus stated..."I am a theology graduate, and have read every verse in the various translations of the Bible over 40 times in my 77 years"....Obviously a laughable claim! Look how many translations there are...lmao https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_Bible_translations Loudmouth...I did a valuation of the crazy Job earlier... http://forum.onlineopinion.com.au/thread.asp?discussion=8045#249451 Between The Passover and the book of Job they absolutely destroy the freewill argument these crazy believers think they can fall back on when they fail their own Bible teachings...lol NNS... I see you popped back in...So how many amputees have you cured with your prayers...OMG! I hope you didn't pray wrongly causing a few more legs to fall of...lmao So which God is the God you know again? And when is soon again?...lmao Oh it's not now...lmao So regarding these verses NNS...Did what is stated in them happen? Mark 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that THIS GENERATION shall not pass, till all these things be done. BUT these other verses don't have the word this in them... Matthew 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. OR Mark 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. AND Luke 9:27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God. OOPS! Op2, your ignorance is appalling.
The Kingdom of Christ was established in Acts 2 where the Spirit of Christ now indwelt the 3,000 plus believers. Christ's kingdom is identified within his followers, by following his character, attitudes, behaviours and teachings. Admiring and emulating holy character, caring for the sick and oppressed, teaching reconciliation and forgiveness, caring for the other as one would for oneself. Obviously attitudes and behaviours you despise Posted by Josephus, Monday, 11 December 2017 4:15:55 PM

Op2.
How about a dissertation on the Inquisition, and you still haven't explained the miracles of Lourdes; bit beyond you? Posted by Is Mise, Monday, 11 December 2017 4:29:39 PM

Not now Soon, I am pleased for you that you have 'found God'. I was raised and schooled in the Christian faith. Going to church on Sundays, my family (Extended family) were very devout Catholics. As my background is Italian, it is pretty much a 'no brainer'. As I grew up and became more aware of my being and my surroundings, I began to feel 'flaws' in this thing called religion. To cut a long story short, after a period of researching, questioning and talking, I concluded, slowly, that what we are being told/taught is not true. Things I am prepared to believe is that there may have been a person called Jesus. There more than likely were all his followers, Peter, Paul and Mary etc; but because the bible had been re-written and re-interpreted so many times it/they could not be relied upon to be telling a true account of history. In which case I choose not to believe it (the Bible). Bare in mind all this was written in a foreign language which has been interpreted several times until it was written in English. No I'll stick with my pragmatic views on religion and let all the 'believers' have theirs.

While you're taking requests, Opiated2, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Infancy Gospel of Thomas. It's my favourite. Now, this isn't a Gospel you'll find in the Bible, because it's generally considered heretical, but it is a story all about Jesus so I figure it's fair game. http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/text/infancythomas.html Posted by Toni Lavis, Monday, 11 December 2017 8:38:18 PM

Again I would recommend to look for God. I'm sure your just as capable as I am to look critically at your beliefs. If you find God only by giving the belief a chance, I'm confidant you can look at that chance critically after you give it and judge if it really holds merit or not. Unfortunately I can't garentee you will find Him. Only that I think it is a good recommendation.
