Temptation of Jesus cont...

So for simplicity lets focus on one of the alleged temptations.

Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

What? JESUS/GOD was tempted? He was offered all the kingdoms of the world by the lowly fallen angel Satan?

Didn't JESUS/GOD create all things? Isn't GOD the master of the Universe?

He already owns them! It's like someone tempting you with the car you already own! Here let me give you 1 cent for your car... Are you tempted? Of course not!

You believers, with your lack of knowledge, lack of logic, lack of analysis and lack of discernment give Satan way too much power.

Please STOP undermining GOD with your infantile beliefs!

So what other tragedies in modern times are you believers going to blame God for? The Asian Tsunami? The Japanese Tsunami?

You want to blame God for everything else...lmao

Any healings yet? http://forum.onlineopinion.com.au/thread.asp?discussion=8045#249345

Of course not you are all religious windbags! All talk no action!

I guess it proves God doesn't answer your prayers!...lmao

I hate to burst everyones bubble but there is no God! All these 'cults' were started by either a narcissist or a well meaning simpleton. All the 'holy books' were written and re-written by humans. Fantasies all of them. I can understand people of the past looking for a saviour to help them escape the impoverished world they lived in. But today? We are a better informed and educated lot these days we don't need to seek help and guidance from anyone but ourselves. So I would have to go with, Yes it is finally time to know what we believe in, is probably/definitely wrong.

Altrav...We are taught a pack of lies from early childhood.

In Christianity it starts with the Baby Jesus story, (Aww Jesus was a baby...How cute!), and because of Jesus we get Christmas presents...

It moves to Noah's Ark stories where God drowns innocent babies and children but hey he did it for love...lmao, then Easter (Yay chocolates), and then God loves us stories proven by their belief that he is a mass murderer but a kind one...lmao.

Lurking in the background to keep children scared is the story of some idiotic talking snake and the threat that if you don't believe this rubbish you burn forever in the sulphur lakes of hell.

The indoctrination process from evil people is always very subtle and very clever. Deliberately scaring a child into believing using talking snakes, demons and hell is child abuse!

They lie about prayers being answered and yet Jesus doesn't stop child abusers in his religion abusing children, and Jesus doesn't help the 1 billion underfed people and the 1 person per second that dies from undernourishment.

Jesus doesn't stop tragedies and believers think he doies...God had no part in it, but they are damaged delusional indoctrinees.

Churches lie about the Bible being God's word but the believers never actually read the book in its entirity. God is that important to them...lmao

Believers analytical minds are turned into mush by the religions!

These believers have such little faith that they can't heal anyone, they can't move mountains like the Bible tells them, and they don't follow Jesus like they claim.

They are simply pathetic people who prove indoctrination works!

They continue spreading the lies against their God and don't care...

They are the unGodly ones, deluded into thinking they are good people yet believing everyone that doesn't follow their insane beliefs will rot in hell...Can you be a good person when you believe and spread lies all the time believing the person you are trying to convert to your insanity will burn in hell?

Religion is an evil, mind controlling deceit and believers should wake up!

Praise the Lord!

Self-Op2,

Pretty much everybody on this thread, except Runner, would agree with you before you got out of bed:

"I started this thread talking about the Abrahamic religions and I know I have proven them a load of rubbish!"

Well, duh. Even most Christians would partly agree with you: you're really flogging a very dead and stinking hose, Self-Op2. Then you say:

" .... Jesus... came along and was a refreshing change in a horrid world. Alas the believers crucified him even though he was pointing out many truths."

Really ? Or is that a myth too ? Many, if not most, of us don't actually believe that there was a Jesus, and many others of us don't think it matters, either way: 'he' is a symbolic figure, like so many others in ancient history, utilised as an example how to live, serve one's god, etc., sort of like a Dreaming figure - or are you suggesting that Dreaming stories are true and faithful representations of reality as well ?

Or are you saying that all religious texts are rubbish ? Join the club, Self-Op2 ! Or are you saying that the OT is BS but the NS is perfect ? It's so confusing talking to four-year-olds.

No offence but you seem like one of those smart-arse kids in the local Colts/Junior football who has just discovered how to do a drop-kick and is keen to show the grown-ups how to do it.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there are entire university departments all over the world which have been focussing on what you think is so brilliant new, some for hundreds of years. Listen, read, and learn, Self-Op2.
