These items are NOT examples of racism and I suggest you are well aware of that.

You and I disagree on quite a few issues but I am surprised that you stoop to presenting untruths as 'facts' about racism. Did not any of Eva's writings quote any actual instances of racism. That would not surprise me. I am further surprised that you thought you could say such without being challenged.

You may be able to find some individual acts of racism, like the two women on the bus at Surfers recently, but to claim general racism with untruths is quite wrong.

There is no doubt racism in Oz, But substantially less so than many --perhaps, most other countries.

AND-AND-AND many examples that are held up as racism are NOT racism at all. I have seen enough examples to know that people often use the charge of racism to further their political ends --or increasingly, further their career prospects.

SPQR, reading through that whole chapter you can appreciate why Foxy, DavidF and co are so insistent upon the use of the term "Racist", they see Australia as meagre and backward, it's history irrelevant and it's original ethnic majority group they regard as ignorant bumpkins who need a foreign aristocracy to do their thinking for them but who are nonetheless convinced that they think for themselves all the same.
Anything we do or say is "Racist" to them, it's not possible to dislodge them from that position because they don't share our heritage and thus cannot understand the past,present and future in the way we do.
