It is interesting to note that the "anti-vacination" group can always come up with an isolated case where some claimed reaction has taken place with disastrous results, but never quote the vast number of lives that have been saved through taking the precaution of vaccination.

I had measles, whooping cough, German measles etc., when I was a child and developed a natural immunity. How much better would I have been had there been vaccination available to do the same thing ?

Polio has been virtually eliminated from India now after a mass undertaking to deal with the scourge. So many diseases have been eliminated round the world and I remember having to be immunised against things like small pox before getting on an international flight and even had to have a Yellow Fever inoculation before going to South America many years ago.

I really don't understand why so many people ignore the benefits and put themselves and their children at risk when there is so much proof that vaccination has saved millions of lives.

I equate this attitude to some members of the Pentecostal Church who are "snake Handlers" in the USA and else where, who think they are immune from being bitten and won't die if they are, when the evidence has unfortunately pointed to the contrary.
