While you are trying to push OUG to the wall, you omitted crucial information: other than biological survival, you failed to mention anything about the QUALITY of life after taking the magic potion and how it stands in comparison with that "horrible" disease. Also, what actually is it that makes the disease horrible - is it just the fact of death or is there some other factor? have you considered that what is 'horrible' for one is not that horrible for another?

For example, if one is a farmer, then losing a finger is not the end of the world, but if one is a musician playing an instrument, then one has lost their purpose to live. It is wrong to assume that the effects and risks of vaccination are the same for everyone.

I therefore believe that OUG deserves more information before s/he can answer your question.
